Sacred 2 Discussion

Search for groundDetail in the file. My setting looks like this.

groundDetail = 4,

If yours is a lower number then just change it to 4 and save.

Edit: Also check for textureQuality. My setting is.

textureQuality = 4

Right, so I'll change it to 4 and see what happens.

Thanks.

Me too. I wonder why your option file says groundDetail and mine doesn't.

What is your grass set to?

Have changed my detail_tex from 2 to 4

I have had this game crash a few times when applying changes to sound and graphic settings. Luckily nothing like yours phoenix... I hope you get it sorted.

Also I turned off the PhysX thingie. It made the game all messy with all those damn leaves moving about!! >_<

Otherwise it is going good. All maxed out settings with forced 16X AA and same for Anisotropic Filtering (IF this game allows that), but in game it is also set to max AA which is 4X I think.

As I don't have an nVidia graphics card, I didn't bother with PhysX.

I shall edit my options.txt file and hope it helps.

I had a look and it has two settings, one labeled like mine and one like the one you posted. I'm not sure if you have to edit both for the changes to take effect. My grass setting is.

detail_grass = 1500

Did the change you made work?

Odd....I ran a search of the text file and could not find the words you used.
:confused:

/Edit: No change in Texture Quality on that Resurrection Monument.

What are Regeneration Penalties?

Damn it's a pity you can't change it. I'm not sure what you mean by regeneration penalties. What I can say is, try not to die. The longer you survive battles the higher your survival bonus becomes. A high survival bonus earns you more XP and better rewards. When you die your SB goes down to zero.

Hello Isengard.

Is you look at the stats of some armour, there are "regeneration penalties".

I have reached Thyricium. It is HUGE!!

Ohhhh. Those affect things like how quickly your skills will take to recharge etc. Thycilium is one of the largest towns in the game. It has a ton of quests to do :).

MUCH bigger than anything I remember from Diablo or Titan Quest.

Finding quests is the trick though.

How much should I worry about Regeneration Penalties on Armour?

My Seraph needs to cover up more.

You don't have to worry about it too much. Soon you will start picking up armors that compliment your abilities. Leveling up also speeds up regen times for the skills you are focusing on. Remember green armor is set armor and is the best when combined of more like set pieces.

Abilities......erm.....well I am pretty much picking up whatever comes my way and giving it points. Dunno what would best suit my character.

Well it depends what play style you want. If you want to be magic focused then spend more points in celestial magic. If you want to be a fighter then exalted warrior should be your focus.

So now say you chose to focus on magic, then each time you level up you should put at least one point into celestial magic. When you do this the abilities from that skill line will regen faster and become more powerful.
