Guild Wars 2

This might help with the underpopulated map issue to a degree

https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-megaserver-system/

We probably won't notice anything in the beginning ... especially in Queensdale, but I've noticed that the Sylvari area tends to be fairly empty, so should notice a difference over there.

This is definitely a step in the right direction, people starting new characters might see active maps again. I like it. Will give it a go with my mid level characters as soon as it arrives (although only the 1-15 level areas are launched with). Having a few people (instead of flat nobody) at least running in the same areas (like the first few launch months) will give the world a more 'live' feeling again. Hope it is implemented well!

Having enough people to do the MAW at 05:00 would be nice.

Done the MAW twice with just another player, margin for error is small.

Hi guys,
I see guild wars is on a 50% off sale. Is it worth it to buy? I'm looking to start an mmo but don't want to pay a monthly sub. I'm happy paying for the base game though.

Ok, just bought the game, which server do you guys recommend? Also I read I should only start playing after the April feature pack on 15 April. Is this true?

We are mostly on Aurora Glade. Jump in, start playing and enjoy. 15th April is the release date for the Feature Pack, which will change a number of ingame items. But nothing to stop you playing and gaining levels in the mean time.

When you want to join a Guild I can give you an invite to GWSA - Scatterlings of Africa

Enjoy!

Thanks, should I reach a certain level before I ask to join a guild? Will start downloading tonight.

That is entirely up to you, but would reccommend you join a guild asap. as they can help and advise as needed ...
