Judging only on past movie/game tie-ins, without even considering the abysmal reviews, I'd go with nay. If it's a tie-in made purely to release around the time of the film, it's 99% guaranteed that it will not be good in my experience. It takes a lot longer to make a quality game than it takes to make a quality movie. Which is a shame, 'cause I love the movie and would definitely play a game that gives me dem same feels

Well I have to say no , like most of the reviews I had a similar experience , Web swinging is fun but you seem to be forced to have to stop crimes etc
Boss fights are too easy , and very repetitive and general combat takes no skill youll find yourself hitting X,X ,Y then repeating it .
About the only thing I enjoyed was the Russian hideout missions (not that this was flawless) because you get to earn a new suit
which was varied enough but the more popular ones (ie the Ones we really want )were not to be had.
The story is a mess and just leave you skipping scenes .
I ultimately got bored after I got all the suits and didnt even bother doing the comic book collection or other side missions.
This could have been so good but sadly its just one to capitalize on the movie (which has its own issues)
I say save your money give it a miss

Being a big Spider-Man fan I really wanted to get this game on Friday (last Friday actually, when we were supposed to get it). I downloaded the PC version to check it out and decide if I want to buy it, but for the first time in a long time I won't buy a Spidey game on release.
The web-swinging is fine and combat is cool (albeit a bit easy), but the thing that ruins it for me is the retarded menace system. I had a hero rating of 3 (the highest) and then went to do a story mission, after the story mission my rating suddenly dropped to menace level 3 (which means a lot of stupid robots shooting at you, etc.) and I immediately stopped playing and deleted the game. That shit will frustrate me to no end, if I want to take me time and just screw around swinging around then I want to able to do that without the game deciding that I am now a menace because I am ignoring all the crime. Spider-man in the game is also a bit of a douche. Spidey is supposed to be a bit cocky, but he's not supposed to come across as an asshole, which he does in this game.
I'll rather wait for a cheap/2nd hand copy before I get this one and I'll get Bound by Flame on Friday instead.
