has anybody here got a KIA RIO? I am on the verge of buying one and would like to here some positive feedback to help assure me that its the right decision :)

other possible options :
Renault Clio 4 --> Apparently, engine is asthmatic, despite having a turbo. Its only 0.9L
Polo --> Good build quality but overpriced
Ford Fiesta --> Love the front, but I'm not keen on the back

i have the 1.2 hatch back. awesome car. you dont really feel the 1.2 engine unless you load the car with passengers or use the aircon on an incline. its quite lite on petrol as well and i use it in the city only

I don't have a Rio, but I do own it's big brother, the Cerato. I can safely say it is the 2nd best thing I've ever bought (my PC being the best thing...). Kia's service centres are very good, they tend to keep their value a bit better than some of those you mentioned in your list, and spare parts will not cost you an arm and a leg. The Rio's are also very well equipped for the price.

how was the godforsaken mine place you had to go visit?

Dusty as hell. It also looks like it's a 'maak 'n plan place'. Also made a mistake and went to Sun City on the way. It was the bumpiest dust road I've ever been on.

Crusader are you still alive?

Yes?

My right foot is tired of driving. Not used to doing 520km in a day.

Sup dude. For the love of all things good, Book 12 is grim , good but bloody grim!!!

Will have to check it out soon. Was waiting to see if the Library gets it. :p

Random cow crossing.

/snip pic

When I just moved to the Freestate I went to visit my parents one weekend and I decided to take some non-highway routes. When I hit Vrede, a farmer was moving his cattle from one enclosure to another. They had to walk about 500m along the main road to get to the other enclosure, moving past me in the opposite direction. I drove an Opel Kadette at the time and when I saw the size of those animals I actually got scared in my vehicle. It was about 300 head of cattle boxing in my little car on both sides (I stopped dead in the road, letting them pass) and most of their heads were higher than my roof. On that day I vowed always to be careful driving back-roads because hitting that big a chunk of meat would be disastrous, to say the least.

One time when we did a job at Karan Beef we saw a car that had hit a cow. The cow was obviously dead but the car looked like it could have crashed into a concrete barrier.

Moved onto more cardio, lot more leg stuff too. Weights were making too sore so I cut that to 15-20min a day and cardio is now 30min a day

hahaha Oh jeeze I shall come on tomorrow night :p had root canal on my tooth :p

As for the training if it starts to get sore just take a week off and get back to it. I do two weeks of solid upper body training then take atleast 3 day break.

My push up count is around 43 do about 6 sets a day three in the morning and three in the evening.
My pull ups are getting harder gaining a lot more body weight. My jeans are getting to tight on me haha. I do around 13 pull ups do three sets a day.

My cardio is just my 5km run sprint up up hills and in between my running. Shit if I am not fit enough by the time I join the marines then I will never be fit enough :p

All my training is body weight.
