Dark Souls 2 Thread

Bam I am victorious :D Kneel before me

Ey... well done!

Only like another 28 bosses to go =P

The important thing is to not get discouraged by this. Sure it has been difficult and painful to get passed it, but now that you have... how does it feel? (am I right?).

The only reason I stopped dark souls was the port for the pc was bad and ran like kak and controls where painful
This is actually a good port and the controls are fantastic.

Digging the difficulty and I am excited to see whats next. I see there is a lizard eyeing me :p

Cool bud, glad you're enjoying it. Try not to look too much into the play-throughs and strategy guides. Try go in as blind as possible. Once you hit NG+ go mad, but that's how I would suggest to get the best experience.

By the end of tonight (if all goes well) I should be able to proceed onto NG++.

I don't do walk throughs lol. Though now I am battling two ogres.

So I got to a door where the soldier key opens up and its locked I need some signal thingy. I am trying my luck by the fire tower or whatever its called should I leave that bec I feel like I missed a few things at the forest of gaints. I killed the two ogres and the one thats hiding by the bridge.

Defeated the dragon rider :D pretty easy easier than the giant.

Yeah, took me a little while to get through them. Probably one of the bosses that took me the most attempts.
Keep moving is probably the best advise I can give you. And try use a weapon with a top/down attack. Also fire is very good against them.

/cough - fire bombs
*ahem*
sorry about that, had a tickle in my throat. :P

Yeah I move back and fourth :p Was thinking about getting some for those bastards :p they say its the easiest boss bah they lie. I thought the sentinel was easy only took me two chances. Shields are pretty awesome :D I am using the old knights shield at the moment.

as BeoTek said, fire does the trick. either fire bombs or pyro spells will make short work of Rat Boss

And dude, you are only touching the surface. It gets all that much better fro here on in.

I am actually looking forward to me third play through, quite a few different armor/item pick ups if I'm not mistaken.

I have the old knight set but I don't use the breast plate. Using the falcon one. With the heavier gauntlets, helmet and boots, leggings.

bleeding does no damage for me thankfully. I see the boss souls are used to get weapons or some such. Most of my play through at the moment has been on 50% health :p

Oh killed my first invader.

The game is actually very fair. There is always a way to do things. Like those old knights where really easy once you knew the attack pattern.

Well done. Wait till you get to NG+ where soul matchmaking doesn't count, then we'll talk again.

And yes, the game is extremely rewarding in that sense. Very good at being challenging yet allowing versatility in different play styles.

I tell you what the sentinals aren't easy lol.

I defeated the old dragonslayer he was easy enough.

Sentinels are about the toughest early bosses around. Practically Impossible without good summoned help

Are there not a quicker way to the lost sinner? I got sick of fighting those things in the sewer so I just run past them. But going down the lift every single time is frustrating :p

There's a bonfire above the lift, on the outside of the tower. But still have to go down the lift every time. Unfortunately there's only the one route.

Have you taken out the Gargoyles?
There's something you get from that area that can make The Lost Sinner a little easier. Though I never do it.
