Are next-gen consoles worth getting?

If you already own a previous-gen console, then I would recommend not doing the move just yet. But glad to see the poll results, PS4 is still the preferred choice

Can understand why people choose to wait. The great games are few and far between at this stage but I'm still loving my PS4 :)

It seems that people that have already moved over to the new consoles, love their purchases. Haven't heard of anyone that had buyers remorse after buying a PS4. It's good to hear, as the game releases on consoles have been a bit slim to fully justify the investment.

But I am still hell-bent on getting an Xbone once they hit our shores. A good thing about the late release will mean that there will be a few great titles to play once it launches. I can't wait to play Forza 5 and Horizon 2 on Xbone.

I can't wait for you to invite me over so that I can play Horizon 2 and Forza 5.

The only regret I have with regards to my PS4 was buying BF4 instead of a second controller. I managed to sell my copy to an acquintance at least.

I'm waiting for the XBONE to be released. There's no way I'll be able to look at Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2 and "walk away". So my first "next-gen" console will probably be an XBONE followed by the PS4 down the line when it has enough exclusives to justify the purchase.

I was one of the people who pre-ordered a PS4 and I am really happy that I cancelled when I did. The selection of games available simply doesn't warrant the console yet. But around September / October this year when the XBOne is released, it will have enough games to make it worth while :)

All I want to know was who were the people who believe R900+ is a reasonable price for a new game

When ET came out for the Atari 2600 around 1980, it retailed $40, which was about $10-15 above average. In today's economy, that equates to about $115... And I think at least some of us know what that game did to the gaming industry at the time...
