Destiny Beta

Been watching a bit of VintageBeef Beta play on this. I must say, I am NOT one for FPS on console. Though I am seriously considering picking this up for my PS4.

Although I thought this was a online multiplayer based MMO type style game, yet he's playing it looks single player?

I have been playing solo and I have come across a few people for a "Public" event it's like a mmo but it's not a mmo. Think of it as similar to Borderlands 2 with open ended CO-OP.

Yes I don't know much about it other than it been hyped. Been looking at some E3 previews and some others and I must say, this is looking amazeballs.

Problem! I suck at analogue stick aiming, will I get better at it?
I guess it could also be a frame of mind issue.

Dude I suck too. But I am slowly getting use to it. It's so much fun to shoot, you want to keep getting better. It's really awesome. And I hate fps on consoles.

So... if I buy (pre-order) this in the morning, will that be my beta access or would I have needed to sign up?

oh my gawsh... I dreamt of this! It's a sign!

Just hope I can play beta buying from PSN Store.

Been at work all day :/ You can buy it, download the beta and then remove the purchase. Then just use a Key you got to to redeem the game then you got to check your game licences again in system settings and you should be good to go.

If you put your ridicule on someone it 'tracks' them for a brief time until they move out of your sights. I struggled with Killzone Shadowfall, I was ready to give up on it and now I am so used to aiming with an analog stick. It feels like I have been doing it for years.

My advice play with varying sensitivity settings, mine is currently on 8 or 9, some people play with a less sensitive setting like 5 or 6.

Shot dood!

Been watching some "Let's Play" with VintageBeef. I must say, I think I'm sold on this title. The one benefit has to be that; if I buy it, I will have spent money on it, therefor I must play it and therefor my aiming will improve! (hopefully) :P

Looks like there's a wee-bit of "snap in/on" when aiming?!

Yes there is a 'wee-bit' of it but as soon an enemy moves out of your sights you will have to put them back in again to get the auto aim back. It's not apparent at first but you'll also be able to pull off some 'trick shots' at medium to close range with Hand cannons, basically aim for the head and squeeze off a few shots to get a kill. Aim assist will take care of the rest. You will find that 80% of the time after a near fatal shot enemies tend to dodge or take cover, causing you to try varying tactics when it comes to shooting and moving.

The only thing that I find annoying so far is the fact that enemies spawn so quickly, you fight off a group of 8 fallen then about a minute later that are dropped off again. Makes trying to explore certain areas a tiny bit annoying.

Other than that I want to play it a lot now I really do but I am screaming inside not to, I don't want to get really involved and into it then have to wait a month until I can play it again. I will probably play some MP tomorrow but as far as I am concerned this is worth every cent I will be paying for. Then again TLoU is coming in August and it's only R615 (if you pre-order) so that is a must have as well that will keep my busy until September.

Saw on the sagamer thread that there is supposedly a special event at 11 where those locked gates in the middle of the tower will be open. Don't know how true it is.
