Origin

Again, I don't have much experience in it and only own 2 games that launch via UPlay and I haven't had any negative experiences with it.

Firstly, it's an additional digital distribution platform and DRM tool used on TOP of a digital distribution platform and DRM tool (read: Steam).

Secondly, and probably less of a problem for most of my fellow South Africans, the download speeds are atrocious.

Thirdly, if it can break, it probably will (granted, less so since it became "a thing").

I don't see it as anything more than unnecessary Ubisoft bloat. It doesn't improve my life or make it a pleasure to use in any way. Origin at least simplified EA's DLC nonsense, has high-speed servers and doesn't (at least yet) force itself on games sold on other digital distribution platforms (read: Steam).

*shrugs*

At least nothing is as bad as Uplay. "whistling:

Yep, I'd say uplay is about as far behind origin as origin is behind steam.

I also actually haven't had any bad experiences with uplay, but I've had to reinstall Origin several times and I've often had it get stuck in a 74MB download loop.

Reminds me of EA/Origin that wanted a deaf person to phone in to claim a refund for Simcity, and even though the person tried to explain it to them they just kept on insisting that he had to phone in.
