Not sure who 'dey are either... Once university begins again I will hunt down people for these bands. Then again, I do live with a staunch metal head so I should consult their brilliance.
You're right about how much harder it is playing in a group. For me it's not only the added pressure, but I really prefer playing guitar sitting down and it's lame doing that in a band... ahem...
Slayer is pure awesome. I can play any slayer song with no prob. Megadeth on the other hand is very very hard. For whom the bell tolls was one of my first songs back when I first started playing my very first song was seek and destroy. Iron maidens stuff is also hard and so long.
People say I am a very good metal guitarist but the stuff I had to learn for the band is hard. and playing in a band is so much harder than doing it on your own. Our other guitarist has been playing for ten years. Keeping in time is not easy.
Hey For Whom the Bell Tolls is one of the first songs I learnt about... er... 4 years ago I think. Metallica is pretty cool to start out with. Also played a lot of System of a Down in my beginning stages. Very fun Not too good in the Slayer department though. Though I should probably give it a try because my guitar motivation has been very low lately.
Lol there is nothing wrong with that. I am in a cover band and we do alternative and metal(well so far I got them to do for whom the bell tolls by metallica.) Most all my band members are older tham me(I am 21 and they are in there late 20s and the oldest is 31.)
I learnt to play guitar by learning slayer, metallica and Iron maidens stuff.I've been playing for 3 years and I am self taught. I dig playing angel of death by slayer.
Sounds awesome. I've been playing guitar myself for a number of years but wouldn't call myself and expert... yet
Love all kinds of music though, mainly metal (Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, etc) and hard rock (Seether, 3 Days Grace, not too emo...). When no one is looking though I love classical stuff like Chopin >_<
Rofl I remember beating ultimecia once and was like yes! i beat her then incomes that bloody summon of hers was like ok.... then beat that fuses with her and was like " ok this must be the last one " beat that and i was like "OH COME ON!!!"
Did you manage to get all the cards? still havnt managed to do that rofl
I played Doom a lot when I was younger... I have Doom 3 but it's possibly the scariest game I've ever played. I mean, I've managed the Silent Hill series but I heart starts to ache from stress after playing Doom 3 for more than 15 minutes
I did play Earthworm Jim but, if I remember correctly, I played it on PC and not on a console. My other first PC games were the Kings Quest and Space Quest games. I loved those and still do.
