Yeah ... I use my Avi and sigs as advertisement of sorts for whatever I'm interested in ... (I happen to be a Miku fanboi at the moment ) and I think most folks have come to terms with it.

Anyways, nice to know I have a local fan I'm not sure about conventions - someone for Potch contacted me once and told me about UPCON - it's more of a RPG (card and boardgames) convention, but they are having a cosplay competition and apparently anime does feature there.
