Been out of the loop a while, and having a hard time understanding the correlation of ram:mb:cpu speeds.
Take these three components as an example:
Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3:
i7-2600k:
And some Corsair CMX8GX3M2A2000C9, XMS 3 ddr3-2000:
Am I right in saying on default settings this ram will run at 1333, and to get 2000 speeds I'll need to overclock?
Otherwise when something faster than the 2600k becomes available for the 1155 socket it might have higher supported memory types?
Or am I understanding this all wrong :wtf:

Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3:
Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules

Memory Types DDR3-1066/1333
And some Corsair CMX8GX3M2A2000C9, XMS 3 ddr3-2000:
8GB XMS Memory kit for dual channel systems, 2000MHz, 9-10-9-27, 1.65V
