6 December Xbox update

Ok this worked for me, Signed in to Xbox.com, accept the new Terms & Conditions, then switch on my Xbox and it's updated perfectly.

Nope, didn't work for me unfortunately. Singed into xbox.com -> accept T&Cs -> big error. lol
Still can't connect to XBL. They did say we should expect some XBL downtime, so I guess this is to be expected.
 
I've read the servers are totally bombarded so you have to bombard back in order to get the update to work. i got the error at home once and didnt try again :( Now i must sms my wife to wake up and do it ASAP! :P
 
mine's working like it always does, no problems. Switched on my console, updated and still connected. It isn't a very big update either, it took like 3 minutes or something.
Will play with it a bit tonight.

Told u guys.. Most of it is already on the Xbox.. It just needed to be activated...:)
 
The problems continue to plague the rollout of the new Xbox 360 Dashboard. The new update continues to hit Xbox 360s, but we've been receiving reports of various problems from users, ranging from video issues to bricked consoles. One of the most predominant issues is that some Xbox LIVE accounts are not able to connect to the service. As of this writing, my own Xbox 360 is unable to connect to LIVE.

as things stand at present i will rather wait until january to update mine
 
My experience was a little different, it downloaded a small update first, took less than 5 minutes on a 1mb line, then straight after launched another download screen took about 15min to download that. My console was up to date up until today so its a bit confusing why it would essentially launch two updates.

Able to log into xbl first time, no problems my side.
 
Mine finally updated, looks good!!
I like the feel and ease of navigation. Pity about the lack of apps and stuff we're allowed here, but we all knew it was going to be like that.

Do you have a Kinect? This happened to me too, and while the second update was downloading, I had to cancel it due to connection problems, a message popped up and I'm pretty sure it said something about needing to update the Kinect, so it restarted the download again. Had no problems so far. Kinect Integration appears to work really well.
 
Mine also did the small update followed by a bigger one, this could be related to kinect. I no longer have a Kinect so it wasn't plugged in or anything. Either way if it was 1,2 or 5 updates it doesn't matter :) the new dash looks good.

Yes, I do have kinect, only thing is that it wasnt plugged in at the time of the update, saying that I'm sure the system would have recognized that I've had a kinect plugged into it some time or another.

Keen to try out the new kinect intergration as well.
