Was about to say, that is the one way to look at it, cause there is always View attachment 10134
Oh and View attachment 10135 is the simplified one, the real formula looks more like View attachment 10136
Ahh the classic inconsistency with relativistic theorem with quantam mechanics. Do you think that the key to proper interstellar travel is a full Grand Unified Theory? [On a side note I suspect you subscribe more to a quantam revelation due to the Schrodinger theorem there?]

Also true. I think we will kak off at first (if we meet a more advanced race), but once we get our hands on some better tech and even the playing field, they are going to have a real fight on their hands.
In a perfect world it would be more of a "Starfleet" scenario where we have moved past our aggressive nature and actually have a sense of honour. Peacefull contact is the first priority.
I'm not sure; they only frame of reference we have is ourselves; so we cannot assume anything about what an opposing race would do in a situation of conflict. And as Arthur C. Clarke said "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"; thus is they were far enough ahead of us that we could not fully comprehend their tech; we would stand no chance in a conflict.
Would be like fighting a modern army with sticks and stones.
