So a quick multiplayer update: I bought a new router as my old setup was giving me big hassles with PSN not connecting, along with the above motivation. With the new router, all my issues have disappeared and I finally got into a league race! :D I did terribly, but the race was very smooth with no issues. It was also the ghost league so no ramming or spoiling. Just good racing.

This game just got better.

Awesome, my multiplayer also still going well with the new router...must be some new setting or new tech that makes new routers work better or something. What router did you end up buying?

Its an Asus DSL-N14U. I'd put a link but I'm currently on a mountain.

My IT skills are weak so I could only offer wild guesses as to whats different with the new routers, but it's definitely a new kind of magic smoke.

You absolutely need to experiment with the cars and tunes (download tunes) , don't just look at the Speed/Braking/Acceleration stats, it is scary what torque/power/weight can make when it comes to shaving off 2 seconds.

I drove all the cars Ford/Holden/Merc/Nissan and they look the same on the surface, but there are some serious differences which i actually could feel...very surprising.

Just a tip, my latest time was achieved by checking the top time in the world with a car in our selection on the track , i grabbed the tune off that person (directly from the leaderboards) and immediately could feel there's a difference going on..car had significantly more grip but slower than the Holden which DieGrootHammer used. You can probably grab the tune from me on the leaderboards.

I should probably start learning how to tune myself, to get it just right for my driving style.

And so the week's challenge comes to a close. I struggled to find time for this challenge this week, as I got side-tracked with a lot of IRL stuff. Even so, I did about 15 laps consistently around the low 1:33 mark, with only 2 laps dipping below that. I really think that is the fastest I can go with that car and that tune on that track. But alas it was not enough and there are the results:

I will check the finer details when I have my game running again. My Xbox decided now would be a good time to update to the new dashboard.

Is it possible to get a car back to default after it's been upgraded?
 
Okay, the car that I want to drive has previously been upgraded automatically to S800. Now if I go into tuning and I select Reset Default Tuning Settings then it stays at S800. What am I missing?

This is messing with my precious gaming time.

It would appear I need to go to the build screen. Will have to go try that.

This track is a bit challenging. I never really cared much for it, but its growing on me. Bit tricky to get fast clean laps though as I tend to go a bit wide.
 
Sorry guys i think i cheated :D . I didn't realise that silly Grand Prix car (Brabham) is so fast on this track... why is everyone driving Huracans on this? Either way, try the Brabham /Lotus/Honda 1967 cars, you'll be surprised ;)

EDIT: Edit look under Honda, there's a free one there (for me it was ) for in case you don't have 1.2mil ;)


Anyhow, enjoying this track actually, think i'll now try beating my time on a regular car :D
