Well you probably don't want to play the witcher 2 since you won't complete that game since its long and I hear 3 is going to be even longer.
When you say it's long, can you give me a sense of how long it is? Haven't played it.
FC2 was probably the longest I have played any game with missions from start to finish. I went diamond hunting and loved the open-world nature of it that allowed me to go off and do my own thing![]()
I'm the opposite. I used to game mostly on easy, but these days I want to experience the game as the developers intended - so I play no normal.Lately I do tend to play games on Easy though...just to streamline things a bit & get through the games a bit faster (esp given the huge unplayed steam library).

If you call 20-40 hours long, you need to play better games: http://www.gamelengths.com/games/playtimes/The+Witcher+2:+Assassins+of+Kings/
RPGs are definitely too long, when I look at games in my library that I haven't finished one in particular stands out:

Almost 150 hours and I still haven't finished it yet. Granted some of that time may have been leaving the game open to download DLC but that is still a lot of time for one game to take up.
Yet on the other side of the coin I look at a game like Tomb Raider which took me a third of the time to complete (would've been less if I didn't hunt down every relic and complete all the challenges) and I was still disappointed that there wasn't more to the game.
I notice one of the reasons why I stop playing long games is because it becomes difficult to keep track of the story when I haven't played in a while. Perhaps one solution to this problem could be to add an option in the main menu that recaps the story for you.
Thoughts?
An example of a good length campaign is BF4...
Finished in one sitting over the course of the whole day xD
I diagree. I think length shouldn't matter to the game, and should be dependent on cost, genre etc.
