I dont know if I want every game to be huge I like shorter games that are driven by there stories.
The problem is prices keep going up, general duration stays the same
Longer is better. 100+ hours like DAI pls.

Once again variable pricing ideas crop up. The better question would be on what standard would variable prices be decided?Dammit, beaten by Eugene again.
I agree with the points made in the Jimquisition. AAA games need to start adapting to a variable pricing model, not every game is worth $60. Just because your budget became inflated to extreme proportions, doesn't mean that consumers should foot the bill.

i would be much happier to pay R350 for a 6 hour game, rather than R700 for a 20 hour game.
Would that depend on the quality of the game or just on the length pf the games.
assuming equal quality in every hour (which is pretty much impossible, as the longer the game, the more likely it will have padding). But lets assume the very best case scenario, each of the 6 hours is as good as each of the 20 hours. I would still pick the cheaper game with fewer hours, rather than more expensive with more hours. just too many games and too little time![]()
but that tends to be padded with way too many "go there, fetch this, bring it back" and "kill XX/YY beasts" type quests. i have heard similiar "padding" complaints regarding Alien Isolation, which is the only reason i have held off getting it.
Padding I don't think Is always the worst sin in the world. It allows you the time to appreciate the world around you and take I the minute details you might otherwise miss in the pursuit of the grand goal. Obviously it shouldn't serve to overtake the purpose of the game itself but instead can help expand your enjoyment of it. As long as the amount is within reason.ya i also would rather have 3 to 5 hours of fun than 100hours of padding.

+1 agree but sometime it just used for most of the game.
