ATT Cape Tonians

Please assist me in this matter. I need info on places/areas to stay/live, our offices are in the Claremont area on Main Rd. Bare in mind I have a kid and will also need access to daycare facilities.

This is just for homework and getting an idea, please help!

Beo, for the sake of your child make the move to Cape Town. It's a well run city (and surrounds) with lots of activities.

Well here's the thing. Traffic! I hate traffic. Not only that but my work day starts at 07h30, so I would need to be able to drop kid off by 7am (I'm assuming that's the time schools and such open) and still have time to get to work in time.

Secondly, I am not really sure of what traffic is like that side. I would guess it's not as bad as JHB but maybe on par with Durbs. From the few days I spent there I didn't experience much of it, granted I was only staying 2km's from the office.

You're only real traffic concern is the M3 and M5. in the mornings they are a hassle towards Cape Town and vice-versa in the late afternoon.

I would suggest looking for a place in Newlands or Rondebosch but those suburbs can get extremely expensive.
 
Or try Kenilworth, don't go to far south, try stay close enough to train stations for just in case moments.
Past Rondebosch is Mowbray, which is cheaper beyond that isn't very safe with security etc.
 
Hehe... Yes, the answer was yes and I will be relocating. I haven't been given a date yet, but expected around May or June latest.
 
if your offices are in claremont, try and get a place in the rondebosch area, very tranquil there.
 
See Beotek! We shall all help you out - even when the big move happens - Hammer is useful in that aspect - lifting big boxes :P
