Batman: Arkham Knight's re-release for PC arrives October 28

Didn't they something about giving the people who didn't order a refund a free DLC or free previous game or something?

Pretty fucking shit of them. PC gamers have to wait almost 6 months for what they should have had from the start and not even a freebie as apology.

WB is actually a ridiculously evil company who just managed to slip in through the backdoor while everyone was focusing their attention on Ubisoft and EA. Their business practices are in some cases even worse than those two companies.

Actually in the beginning they said that when the game would be re-released that all current DLC's would come free with the game and the skin packs then later on they changed their minds about it the Wanker Brothers bastards

It's much easier to just.. go look it up.

From Steam:

This means that next week, all PC players will have access to Photo Mode, Big Head Mode, Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman Skin, and character selection in combat AR challenges. Season Pass holders will have access to all content released since launch, including:

and then there's a long list of DLC. This took me two minutes of googling, people.

Wonder if I can still get a refund, just as a point of voting with my wallet. Doubt it, since I finished the game...but still, think its worth a try to go "full refunds were made available, I want a refund out of principle because I don't want to support this kind of behaviour from a developer".

There you go, free crap for all the pain and trauma you suffered.

The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is back up and available today! We are genuinely thankful to the Batman: Arkham fans, the Steam Batman: Arkham Community, and the PC Players who have patiently waited for this day. As a show of our appreciation to our fans in this process, we are pleased to announce three community focused programs to help us commemorate the re-launch of the game.

To kick things off, we will be giving away FREE digital copies of games from the Batman: Arkham library. This means we will be giving away copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. The Batman: Arkham library of games will be given to everyone who has already purchased or will purchase Batman: Arkham Knight for PC prior to 11:59 pm PDT, November 16, 2015. We’re actively working with our partners at Valve to make this happen as soon as we can, so watch your Steam Library. We are aiming to deliver all of the games by December.

Seeing as our community was a great help in getting the game up and running, Rocksteady will be creating a new "Community Challenge Pack” that will be given free to owners of the Batman: Arkham Knight game in January 2016. As thanks to the Steam Community, PC players will have access to the maps for a week before they hit the consoles. Stay tuned for more details on this in the Batman: Arkham Community and Social Channels.

Finally, we are thrilled to announce that we are working with Valve and the Team Fortress 2 team for a special cross-game promotion. Through November 16, 2015, Valve will be running a contest for the Steam community to create Batman: Arkham themed cosmetic items for Team Fortress 2. The winning items will be given out to those who purchased Batman: Arkham Knight on Steam before the end of the contest. You can check out the official TF2 blog for all the contest details!

To recap, if you own Batman: Arkham Knight for PC or purchase it before November 16, 2015, you will get: Free digital copies of games from the Batman: Arkham library. The "Community Challenge Pack” DLC. The Batman: Arkham inspired Team Fortress 2 items created by the Batman: Arkham community.

Thanks again for your feedback and support.

Except anyone who bought the PC game at release is likely a fan...and therefore likely to have those games anyway...this is known by Rocksteady, so basically they're going "sucks to be you if you are a fan of Arkham and supported us before, you won't get anything compared to ppl who didnt invest in the franchise".

I only have Asylum and City, so getting Origins for free is kinda cool. Doubt I'll by Knight though, just not such a big Batman fan - I'm still only 20% into City and alrrady bored.

Have you guys seen that all reviews before the re-release are now marked as "pre-release review". I'm astounded. They released a terrible game and are now getting around the backlash by effectively claiming that it was a pre-release/early access version. What a bunch of bull! I think that's totally unacceptable.

That's why I used the word "crap". :p

Unfortunately Origins is pretty terrible, not even worth it for free in my opinion.

Eh. If you're a fan of the franchise, I'd say get it on sale (75% off at least.) My experience was that it wasn't terrible, but not nearly as good as Asylum or City. It also used to be the most buggy Batman game, but then Knight came along..

So apparently the re-release isn't going to smooth either. To quote RPS:
The re-release hasn’t gone completely smoothly, however. SLI and Crossfire aren’t playing nice, and some folk with single GPUs are even reporting issues on newer drivers. Meanwhile, “For Windows 10 users, we’ve found that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience.” Holy high disposable incomes, Batman – 12 Gigabytes?

That’s the first time a game’s ever asked for that much, isn’t it? I’ve ‘only’ got 8, and all my RAM slots are full so going to 12 would be a pretty major undertaking. I, er, might just put up with a bit of stuttering, I guess. Earlier Windowses doesn’t have quite such eye-watering requirements, but “a hard drive paging issue with some GPUs on Windows 7 may occur after extended gameplay sessions.

Looks like I'll be picking this up in the Steam bargain bin - or maybe even the bundle bin. Pity, I really enjoyed Asylum and City (haven't yet bother with Origins though)
