Although I'm definitely getting a physical copy - download's going to be huge, and I doubt I'll see Origin server on WebAfrica's FreeZone.

I don't like the forced method, but nonetheless it's battlefield 3, can't pass that up and not going to miss out.
Considering this is the last major fps mp title that have been looking forward to.

Dial back a few years, when steam first sony-xploded onto the scene. They also forced people to install steam to play their games. Don't see the big deal.

Agreed, I will also give it a month or 3 and see if they change their minds. Probably not though. Hmmm might need to get an extra 570GTX to play this bad boy on high res >

The extent to whether I like/dislike the Origin requirement is based on how useful and integrated it is. If they just made Origin a requirement to force people onto their store then I'm not going to be happy about it but if it does something useful then I guess it's alright.
