Bloodborne: the official thread

....I can skip that part???

and wtf is up with that frenzy portal thing?

and how do I equip ruins?

:D

Well you can't skip it per se, I just don't go up that tower and simply run past that area.

Ruins I think can be equipped once you get an item which I believe is in Hemwick.

Ah, yeah I run down and around but there are places he can still hit you... cause he's got eyes like a hawk

yeah, once you get to the base of the tower...
Spoiler: show
he can't hit you (mostly), stay close to the tower and run across the wooden bridge and hang a left toward the ladder, you can either go up and hang right, drop down onto a ledge and kill enemy and proceed... alternatively just stay on the ground and go into that big room, then just watch for the oke above that you would have killed if you went up.

Feel free dude! I'll give another long stint tonight, I'll send an invite tonight or just leave it open to join. My controllers are taking a beating with this game in terms of battery and wear tear, thank goodness I have two.

yeah I got 2 as well that I alternate on the charging cable as their batteries run out. had to put thumb grips on both as well cause the vanilla rubber on the one started tearing

I got to get thumb grips for one of my controllers.I have two controllers it feels like the one controllers rubber is tougher than the other.

I'm really struggling to find hunters to beckon for the boss in Byrgenwerth. Can't seem to beat him on my own, but there is no one to beckon here. I keep helping others with Shadow of Yharnam to farm for Insight which I then use to try and beckon here, but with no luck.

The little messengers around the lamp in an area depict how "busy" the area is, apart from your 4 messengers.

Also, I've noticed my game is now at night and the moon is out. It looks really really pretty. And secondly, while helping a friend through Cathedral Ward I noticed that in his game, the white mask guys with a scythe, their weapon had a blue aura to them, along with the guys that have the crucifix have a red embued weapon.

I don't know why this is, as my game is not like this. So something has happened/triggered in someones game to have caused this. You guys?

BeoTeK The only thing I know of that changes the enemies in the game is the amount of Insight you have.
Spoiler: show
Once your insight goes above 15 the game gets more difficult with enemies getting new attack animations, more health etc. Nout sure exactly how the insight/difficulty scaling works though, but the higher your insight, the more difficult/different your game.

Managed to take down the next boss solo as well (even though it took me a while to do so):

An image I found on reddit that gave me a bit of a laugh.

Also the first comment on the post made me laugh.
"My dog now leaves the room when I turn on my PS4. So angry."

Yeah that battle wasn't so bad. Just had to take your time, kill the spiders and dodge the magic attacks.

Have you found Cainhurst Castle yet? The boss there is pretty difficult.

I'm currently level 73.

Yeah, it took me a while to realise you have to kill the smaller spiders to make the fight easier. Reminds me of the Phalanx in Demon's Souls, but not nearly as easy as that was.

Yeah, I made it to Cainhurst Castle, haven't seen the boss yet though. I used the item to re-awaken when I was standing right in front of the boss area because I had almost 48K blood echoes on me and didn't want to risk losing them. I'm currently trying to find my way in Yarhgul, managed to take out those 3 hunters in the room after the second bonfire, but haven't found the way to the boss yet.

I'm at level 75 now, whenever I have enough blood echoes to level up, I tend to go and do it. I actually feel like farming to 80 before trying to progress.

Damn those 3 hunters gave me quite some trouble! Had to lure them all the way back to the lamp. Then take them out 1 at a time.
So I'm guessing you haven't fought DarkBeast Paarl yet? Because that boss is right there in that area.

You know when the sack dude takes you to Hypogean Gaol. You can fight DarkBeast Paarl there already, which is quite early in the game, or come back later which is where you are now. So the fight now should be quite easy because your level is so high. I was around level 70 when I fought the boss.

According to a guide I saw DarkBeast Paarl is actually the 6th boss.

They were kak yeah.

No , I haven't fought Paarl yet. Not sure how to get to him. Haven't been put in a bag so far.

If you keep exploring where the 3 hunters are you will find Paarl. You go through a hole in the wall and drop down to a large open area.

So those sack carrying dudes didn't kill you? If one kills you early in the game it takes you to Hypogean Gaol, which is the area with the 3 hunters.

Awesome, will keep on exploring around here. I'm trying to beckon people with very little luck, probably has to do with my level.

No, I killed all of those bag guys before they could get me.

Managed to beckon someone now and beat The Old One Reborn, easiest boss so far.
