Borderlands PC co-op matchmaking

D2 got a bit boring after the 3rd or 4th play through. And yes the story in this is paper thin but that helps the replay value as you wont remember the story. Ive done some of these quests up to 4 times with differnt co-op buddies and it just never gets old. I still giggle like a school girl on a new pony everytime i get to shoot a bandit in the face with my shotgun/revolver/sniper rifle/assault rifle of awesomeness. D2 was good but this is just better.

I haven't co-op'd yet, your post made me curious, can you redo missions in co-op over and over? or did you restart a new character each time?

Most of the bosses still spawn, but you don't get the quest in your log and there's no turn in. I've gone back to kill a boss in SP to get a drop I missed in coop, and if you join a coop game on a lower level you get to do the quests again but you don't get the turn-in rewards. Some bosses disappear though, the story-line missions that block access to new areas seem to disappear completely unless you join someone's game on an earlier level.

Ok ok, so if for instance if I start with a mate tonight he will be level 1 I am level 14/15, how will it work?

You'll have to join his game, else he won't have access to your quests and will just tag along getting killed by snails and things.
 
I would almost say its better to create a character for online with your buddy and then a singleplayer profile for sp then nobody should have a problem.
 
My game bombed while doing the moe and marley quests, I was the host. Weirdly my mates killed the 2 skags just as my game bombed, so they had to quit too.

When I rehosted, I got the XP but the quest was unfinished, while their quests were finished. We were able to do it again, getting the XP yet again LOL.
 
dammit i cant get my steam application to work properly :(

is there any other method u guys use to pm each other?

Just these boards, Steam and ingame. There was a new BorderlandsZA Steam group created as well that you can join to get in contact with local players.

Whats wrong with your Steam?

Hey

I jsut got Borderlands 2 on the steam sale wow it really rocks. I have a problem with my matchmaking and only lvl 10, is there anyone in the same vicinity to hook up with.
