Bulletstorm PC always on internet controversy

Bulletstorm has my attention, primarily because its being made by the creators of Painkiller. If the reviews are good, I'll get it. A constant internet connection requirement would be annoying, but I'd still get it. Craptastic GFWL on the other hand..... that could be the deal breaker.

Considering most ppl have internet nowadays I wouldn't say it is to much of an issue, but yeah for those that don't or use 3G it is going to be highly annoying.

PC gaming is getting a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Once again i think the problem is bigger in 3rd world countries. The 1st world countries, the ones where most of the money come from, have not only constant internet connection they also have it at cheap prices. While it may annoy PC gamers here, i dont see how its a big deal.

As its really a co-op game you will naturally need a internet connection to play.

Personally if I were interested in this game the use of games for windows live would be much more of a problem...

If AssasinsCreed 2 was anything to go by ,
Always On DRM ends up getting patched as more and more people complain and it comes to light that they have a market in Africa were we arent all souped up on T1 lines with unlimited bandwidth.

My money is on the Constant connection getting patched within a year of getting released.

Look at SC2 , going from needing a constant internet connection , to only needing one when starting the game.

I think the programmers want to avoid piracy but like all things in life ,
When man invents a better mouse trap , nature invents a better mouse.
