Cities Skylines

Ah thanks, will change it before starting my next city.

Edit:
Reavs - How is the Cape Town map coming along ? care to share anymore pics?

Seeing as I lost my save game I want to make a map of Durban for my next city.

I have not worked on it much since my last post. Will put some more time into it over this long weekend.

uh my cities tend to be just endless grids...fastest & easiest in my experience. That screenshot must have taken forever to get that right. I wonder what the traffic overlay looks like.

Finished the lay out of the Durban map,the only issue I am having is the road system connection, but its pretty much done

Main features:

Day and Night Cycle: Day and night changes in the city and affects citizen schedules. Traffic is visibly slower at night and some zoned areas do not work with full efficiency, further easing the traffic. Service vehicles move around as usual. A free update for all users.

Leisure specialization: Commercial areas can specialize in leisure activities. Leisure areas are especially active during the night, but work like regular commercial areas during the day.

Beach specialization: Commercial areas such as beach bars and restaurants, small marina and fishing tours on the shoreline can specialize in beach activities.

Expanded City Services: Criminals will now be taken to Prison from Police buildings. Taxi service will help citizens and tourists travel around the city. Cargo hubs are harbors that accept cargo trains straight to the terminal. International airport is a huge airport, allowing much more traffic than the previous airport. It has a metro station attached to it. Bus terminal allows citizens to transfer to other bus lines in the terminal building.

New transportation options: Bikes and dedicated bike lanes and bike ways let citizens opt for a faster alternative to walking. Bus lanes can be used to help the public transportation run smoother.

So I've been playing this during the free Steam weekend and it is awesome, however I am afraid of buying it. Why? Because it is a ginormous time sink! It is almost as bad as Civ V. I just lost 2 hours in what felt like 30 mins. I think I already semi screwed myself with this first city, but that is oky. I'm still learning all the ins and outs.

Someone give me a good reason not to buy it!

Also there is a new expansion/dlc available, Snowfall.

Snowfall is the second expansion to Cities: Skylines, the award-winning city-building game from Colossal Order. In Snowfall, players’ cities will be covered in snow or glisten in the rain thanks to a new in-game weather system, while their civic expertise is tested by the new challenges of running a city when the temperature falls. Snowplows will clear the streets, heating systems will run from home to home, and new trams will shuttle citizens about town in an improved public transit interface. All of these features will keep players on their toes – while their cities twinkle in the snow under new weather visuals.

Now is the Winter of This Content:
Rain and fog for existing maps, plus a new “Winter” map theme with snow and all of its challenges.

The Streetcars You Desire:
Expanded public transportation options, including easier management of existing lines – and Trams, a new system demanded by fans.

World Warmth, Too:
Cold weather increases demands for electricity, unless new water-based heat systems are in place .

Plowers to the People:
Build a snowplow depot to keep traffic flowing during winter weather, and employ new road maintenance systems to keep your streets in shape.

Does it have some form of multiplayer? I actually grew quite fond of the Simcity multiplayer in the end although they could have done a lot more.

Yep. I already wasted 11 hours on it and it felt like an hour or two max... But I loved every second of it!

Sounds like me in Banished...
