hey guys, came over from mybb to check out the comic scene on this here forum. Alot more people here. I have a stan lee signed ultimate spider-man cgc 9.8 SS for sale if anyone is interested? Need to move the bugger. Along with Spawn, issues #1-50 except #30, which is missing. PM me if intersted. Prices are R3000 and R1000 respectfully. The stan lee is gem. Wish i didnt have to sell, but need to pay them damn bills.

lol, and reason being? My monthly call order is 29 comics. bwahahahaha. All Star Western is brilliant. Second best in the line-up. First is batman. Im a massive superman fan, but george perez is not doing it for me. The narration is such a distraction. Yes superman, i know you're looking at the dude. No need to tell me.

other great titles are severed, a mini-series from Image from Scott Snyder, and american vampire, also from Mr Snyder. In my eyes, he is the greatest writer comic books have seen.

^ Had the second volume and yeah dude, it was good. Highly recommended. Haven't tried the games yet, because, well, the games are never like the damn comics. Even Walking dead, the series doesn't come close to the comics.

Good to see the graphic novel/comic community is thriving here!

Who's read any of the Fables series from Bill Willingham? Wasn't too long ago I finished book 12, must say it wasn't something I expected to like, but I was surprisingly hooked after the first few pages. Brilliantly written, and a refreshing departure from the usual offerings on the shelves. Don't let the summary put you off, it's a damn good read!

Anyone else want to share the love?

ok seems I have missed the whole The dark Knight series on the new 52
Just saw the review on issue 6 which has Superman beating batman , and they are introducing Bane
Now I am currently , following Batman.
Is anyone reading the The Dark Knight and is it worth getting the issues I have missed

David Finch once again does not fail to deliver the action with that series. What I'm loving about the dark night is the inclusion of the flash and as you said, superman. Plus poison Ivy and the Joker, and Bane, and and and. Its an awesome run so far Venom. If you dig Batman, you will dig the Dark Night.

cool stuff , guess I will order them damn this hobby is expensive and you know my Marvel subscription is getting to be a waste
I switched to Digital , and you know there isnt anything really really exciting.
Xmen has lost its luster , Ultimate Spidy is dead , Amazing spidy is well semi Amazing. Wolverine and Dark wolverine is so much of the same stuff , if it wasnt for the Amazing Art ..........anyway

I'm actually appalled by the pricing of Marvel's digital comics. Issues launch at $4 and stays at $4 for about a year+. DC issues launch at $3 and the moment a new issue is out, the previous issue drops to $2.

I'm looking forward to Avengers vs x-men, looks like it should be pretty cool. I think i will only get the main story though, you can get so lost in the side story's its gets bit crazy.

I have 29 comics on my pull list, and seriously, I think its time to drop marvel. Only one that I'm really enjoying is Uncanny X-Force. I loved Venom when it came out, first 7-9 issues, but I feel its lacking now. Will give it a couple more months. I love Remender. And so, I will stay faithful and give him a second chance.

DC is where its at! Yes the hype of the new 52 is what made the sales shoot up, but I feel that the writing, if poor, would drop the sales eventually. And well, it has only gotten better. Once again, Scott Snyder is freaking King in the industry right now, and whatever he touches turns to pure gold.

I dunno hey, I'm actually going the other way.

I'm dropping more and more DC books and picking up more Marvel. I just find the DC stuff far too serious, the marvel stuff to me is much lighter, funnier and entertaining.

I only collect one Marvel series at the moment,I like the DC books because of their seriousness. To each their own.

Having said that though, I am keen on getting Daredevil vol. 1 (Mark Waid's run). People are saying that it is amazing, and I see that Kalahari just got it in stock.
