I would love those...but my girlfriend would kill me if I brought those into the house. Hehe someone else should have it.

I have waaaay too much of this stuff laying around here. I'm looking at al my boxes of comics contemplating if I should trim that down as well. Honestly haven't touched any of them in over a year.

If they are in good condition, perhaps consider selling them privately or go somewhere like Cosmic Comics and find out what you can get for them.

Once you've had a look at what you have, I'd be interested to know what's lurking in your boxes.

Haha, bought all of them from Cosmic. Shane's eyes used to light up when I walked in. All that was missing was the $ signs.

Oh and will list them once I do get to that.

Hahahaha that's probably the same thing that happens when I walk in there. Great store though. Still, he does buy stuff back, especially if it is New52 or recent Marvel books.

I'll probably end up going, and walk out with more stuff. Last time I went there to pick up a of my last New52 subs, and I walked out with a new statue and a Buzz Lightyear for my kid. Luckily my puppy eyes worked on my wife...

Hahahahaha! My girlfriend hates it when I go there...most of the time. Sometimes she'll come check stuff out with me.

I need to go pick up my call-order...haven't been there in over a month.

I used to do the same with Readers Den in CT. Once spent R4k on a Free Comic Book Day sale. I still haven't read most of what I bought then...
 
I am giving all my comics to the wife (The ones I am selling) that way I don't get tempted :) She can hand them over.

Just out of curiosity, how much does he pay for new 52 backissues? Any ballpark? All are of course NM. Don't want to drive all that way for R10 a book.

I see you also have yours to sell on Carb. Tough crowd to sell to as almost everyone on there expects you to sell your stuff for peanuts. Also most people don't value these items for much in dear old SA. A guy on there offered me R500 for my Jim Lee Superman statue. Never mind the fact that it's going for over $500 on eBay.

It's rather pathetic dude. The mini collection is worth close to R8000 and a guy offered me R1500. lol. It's laughable actually. And that is from a guy who is a collector, not some random. I mean, asking R3000 for a R8000 collection is damn awesome, but nay. R20 a book, including #1's :wtf:

Oh well. Such is life in SA as you say.
 
It's the same with HeroClix (which I adore!). I have an Apocalypse figure worth $87, but there's no chance I'll ever get that in SA.

I just don't get it man! There is a certain store (Don't want to mention names) But they push up their prices on what they deem "collectible" to over a grand, however, it is worth R100 MAX, but their customers lap it up. When you try and sell said item, as a private collector, you will never get that amount.

Yet in Magic: the gathering, the second hand market is brilliant! Whatever the card is worth, that is what you get. A tarmagoyf sells for R1300, you will get your cash for it easily.

They are on every single website known to man dude. :) I have even started to spam people. lol. No one is biting.
 
I have most of those up to # 15 or # 17, just issue # 1 which are not first prints. So I'm tempted but then I sit with the doubles.
 
Have a kid, and let him read it in the future :)

Not sure if it was mentioned, but I am throwing in Superior Spider-man #1 Scotty young variant, plus #2,3,4,5,6,7. Plus a X-Men #1 tha has been remarked by Ken Haeser :)

That's an awesome buy. I do have a lot of that though. The only advice that I can offer you is to go to a good store and haggle a bit. SA is a really tough market to sell stuff like this.

Just called Cosmic Comics, they are offering me R10 an issue. Including #1 first prints :eek:
