Hi Guys,
I've been searching the net but I can really find an answer.
I am running a core i7 930 stock, and the idle temperature of the CPU is constant 50-55 degrees.
And when running battlefield 3 it spikes to 80 - 85 degrees.
This cant be right can it? It seems way too high!
So my question is, would a 3rd Party CPU cooler resolve this issue?
Or could it be that the processor or Mobo is on the way out?
My setup is as follows
CPU : Intel Core I7 930 2.80 ghz with stock cooling
Mobo : Asus Rampage III Formula
Case : Coolermaster HAF 922 with all fan mountings used
RAM : 3 x 2gb DDR3 1600
GPU : Radeon HD 6950 2gb
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!
