Crysis 2 Screenshots

Those are in game photos ....
Yes you will have to sell you grandmother to buy a card /cards to run this
Console Version will be scaled down
Pc version is being designed to set a new benchmark for graphics just as the first one did .

.....You might have to sell your mother as well just to be on the safe side.

Upon further investigation it seems that this is just promo material and not ingame
So your mum and grandma is safe for now

So it is promo material, i was googling and alot of websites said it was in game but although well detailed it looked very cosmetic to me... But i can't wait to see what this game brings to the tables hopefully the stroy line is half decent this time.

I gotta say the new screens are very very impressive. Well let's hope it does set a new benchmark standard when it releases on PC. It's been too long since a game really pushed my system.

Well, I can play Crysis 1 maxxed out now, finally, but it REALLY gives my GPU a workout. CPU load is minimal, peaking at 15-20% on 1 or 2 cores and in the 64 bit version uses about 3 gigs of RAM, but the GPU is 100% on both cores to maintain 45-60FPS. The particle effects in the final cutscene still cause big frame dips, but that final scene is completely overkill!

What card are you currently running or cards?

Nah I call BS on the screenies. Just like before Nvidia and Micro$oft need to sell their sh!t. It was all about selling Vista (Win7 now) and DX10 (DX11 now) cards now.

I was caught by the hype last time...... I won't be this time.

Fool me once.......................

The screens are legit. I'll bet money on it. They might not be in game but they won't be renders either.

Sorry, won't fall for the hype again. I'll get it and play it, but I'm not upgrading mah g-card for this.

They said last time DX10 would be the sh!t, and it was..... to an extent, but then they guys hacked the code or something to enable some DX10 features in the DX9 version for XP and you could barely tell the dif in quality.

Once bitten, twice shy........

I really didn't smaak Crysis that much. Warhead was a step in the right direction, better story and better engine optimizations.

I think current gen cards are pretty capable of putting out those graphics - at least 5850/70/gtx285 shouldn't struggle too much.

I wonder if you will be able to scale the buildings from the outside ... and then jump across to another building.

have you read what you typed cause it makes no sense if it isnt renders then it has to be in game and if it isnt in game it has to be renderd those are the options or photoshop.

So for them to be legit they would have to be ingame which as i pointed out they arnt .

So your statement confuses .
Anyway seems you will be able to run this cause the architecture is being developed to upscale based on the power of the card ,so still revolutionary I would say.

It can't be in-game screenshots if it's a 1st person shooter can it now? So it'll be taken from the game engine stills - using in-game models but not a direct screenshot, UI elements removed, that sort of thing. It's common practice for promo material.

I doubt that devs did SO MUCH to improve the graphics so high. I suppose this pic is not what we'll see in reality

I reckon they are legit.
If they are able to run Crysis 2 on a xbox I reckon a modern decent spec machine should handle just fine.

Even if the performance is the same as Crysis 1 most people should be happy as PC specs have come a way since the first title.

Why are you guys still arguing about if these are screens or in game dont you read the posts before ...or do you just skip to the end
Check the link in the post below they are just promo shots that were pre ren der ded
The question is now if our machines will run this in a years time .
