Dark Souls 2 Thread

Oh man, hardly done any work today. Read through 5 different reviews and SO insanely anticipating this release.

This is why I have two DS3 controllers. :p

I wouldn't mind using a DS4 it looks really comfortable.

This was my backup DS3 :o

Too much CoD fucks up my analogue from trying to sprint with my stamina bar too low :p

I pre-ordered on PS3 though, voice chat was confirmed (Didn't know about this at all) which basically sold me on the PS3 version as my mate and I can now jam DS together. He never got into it because it was too hardcore but now he has no excuse :D

Sheesh, we have to watch these acronyms, Dark Souls and Dual Shock controls.

@Duke Dude - Speaking of which, what type of headset/microphone can you use with PS3, is it pretty universal ?
I think this game you will definitely need it when jolling co-op.

DS (Demon's Souls)/DS (Dark Souls)/DS2 (Dark Souls 2)/DS3 (Dualshock 3)/DS4 (Dualshock 4) :p

I use the Sony bluetooth hey, you can pick it up for like R300-R500 at BT or Incredible. Otherwise any Bluetooth or wired headset will work really...
I've always said voice chat would in no way make the game any less hardcore, glad Fromsoftware finally figured this out :D

i have done sod-all work today. spent the whole day reading reviews and starter guide and watching gameplay vids. i know, i know, i should not be spoiling the game. but its only a small glimpse into a HUGE game, so there will still be plenty left to discover.

The only thing I have watched is the intro cinematic. I went into DS1 blind and I loved every moment up until the end fight.

I want to replicate that feeling of immersion and fear and helplessness. It was the same feeling I had when I first started playing DayZ.

An interesting video I came across and quite enjoyed. Actually learnt a thing or two.
*there's no spoilers in it if you worried

excellent stuff dude! but video is very long and I want to save it to HDD. whats the best tool for this? I googled plenty but most appear dodgy

RealPlayer can d/l YT vids. My sister downloads a lot of YT vids with RP, she's never called me over to deal with a virus on her HDD :p

So maybe give it a bash?

So I've just got my SMS saying that my package is on it's way, and that I should have it in the next 2 working days :(
ie. Monday I bet.

Will probably play a run through of Dark Souls then.

BWahahahaha.....

From Killzone: Shadow Fall (easter egg)

My local BT Games has the following;

Demon's Souls @ R150 (pre-played)
Dark Souls @ R230 (new)

Damn I wants! Might just go buy the DeS as this is probably the harder one to find.
