Dark Souls 2 Thread

If anyone might be interested, I haven't watched it myself and I don't plan to at least until I'm done.

Hey, my guide from Amazon arrived and it was worth every cent! Exquisite quality, glossy pages, full colour, incredible attention to detail. Very happy with it!

Awesome! The next couple years are gonna be filled with hilarious quotes from your kid :D

Back to DS 2. How far are ya? I abandoned gutter and went instead to grave of Saints. Ready to tackle rat vanguard the next time I play.

PLEASE try Rat Vanguard on your own first, though I found I couldn't summon in that area.

I too abandoned that luminous green place for the time being. I've progressed through Huntsmen's Copse, destroyed Skeleton Lords, etc.
Done a bit of farming in Harvest Valley and now in Earthen Peak, about to try take out that slug boss (I forget name).

Also forgot to mention; the other night I had no DSL I thought it would be a good time to attempt Belfry Gargoyles. When I actually got killed by them, I had killed 1 and had four on me, death notification appeared and I noticed, I had got them down to a 1/4 health. Not too shabby I thinks. They do suffer from hammer type weapons/attacks, along with lightning.

I'm finding it hard to come back to this game after I lost my cool on Thursday. The fact that I started playing Dragon's Dogma again doesn't really help either. I was so close to the end of DS and I just got so frustrated that I don't even want to bother finishing it. I might give it another shot tomorrow as Sundays are my Dark Souls days so I'll see how it goes. For now I'm heading back to Gransys though.

I'm towards the end of the game, the area where you fight the Ancienct Dragon boss. It's not really the area actually, more what happened there, lol. I had a lot of souls (about 75000) and having fought the boss with someone else (got summoned) moments before, I decided to fight the boss in my own world before spending the souls since he's not really that hard. Right in the middle of the fight my friend starts sending me message after message on my phone and the damn thing just wouldn't stop making noise and vibrating. I lost my concentration and got killed by the boss. When I tried to go back for my souls I was busy aiming at a cyclops with my bow when the next moment the camera zoomed out as I watched myself turn to stone. There had been a basilisk behind me which I missed and there went all my souls. I just lost it that point.
 
Worked my way through Earthen Peak, Iron Fortress place and now onBelfry Sol. I can't stand these forced summons. Lost plenty souls in Iron Keep, scary how quickly they accumulate in that area. Simple enough to kill the enemies, but that knock back, I almost screamed!!! If my son wasn't sleeping, I would have, so I feel your pain @Wlad :(
