Dark Souls 2 Thread

There's a bonfire above the lift, on the outside of the tower. But still have to go down the lift every time.

Have you taken out the Gargoyles?
There's something you get from that area that can make The Lost Sinner a little easier. Though I never do it.

Where are the gargoyles? those creatures in the sewer? Yeah I have taken them out if it is those creatures but I got sick of doing it bec they are such a pain but I am guessing thats not the gargoyles :p

The bonfire after The Sentinels, I think it's called servants quarters. Go down the ladder by that bonfire and use a lock stone, that'll open up Belfry Luna then work your way up to the Gargoyles.

Don't have a lock stone :-/ But I defeated him wasn't all that hard. Just stuck close to him hit him then let my stamina regenerate and black hit repeat :D

I cured that woman was that the a good choice I know there is a guy I could of but I don't think I would of been able to carry on my journey.

By cured I presume from petrification?

The woman yes, allows you access to other areas, important one's too.
The man, I think you talking about Straid, also a very important NPC, maybe later though.

I don't like the misty forest :(

Yeah, that's a terrible place. Some people breeze through it and are able to see those okes, not me!
But there is some useful items/chests. Easiest way for me was as follows.

1. Stick to the left to get to Vengaarl NPC and proceed through the mist.
2. Stick to the right to find some interesting chests.

I can see them with no problem but its a pity I can't lock onto them :( I have found two chests so far.

Are great swords worth using?

I like using swords in general. First play through I used a Falchion and a Flamberge. Second play through I've used a Zweihader which is an ultra greatsword. But they take some getting used to.

I am using a hammer type that mace but its +4 does good damage and a bastard sword +3 great for crowds. I have a great sword and two really strange weapons a huge club and a huge skull. And using that tower shield from the last dragonhunter chest. So far they have served me well.

Fighting the scorpioness. She isn't terribly hard. I know what to do nearly had her on my third try.

I wouldn't say noob I would say hardcore man :p I defeated the skeleton lords they were easy. Now these souls for the weapons are the weapons worth it? I got that dragon slayer shield.

Boss weapons may not seem that great, but once upgraded They work well. They also have special attacks unlike normal weapons.

Read the items Info and descriptions.

Yeah, Straid has his uses.

Harvest Valley is easy man, and short. Just an irritant to get through. Don't forget to become a SunBro while you're there ;)

Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in the trilogy, sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the DARK SOULS II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.

NG and NG+ (and ++ etc) all use soul memory for matchmaking. Really wish they would make it based on soul level...

Doesn't really. In new NG I was battling to see summon signs because I farmed too much and thus put me higher than most I imagine.
Since being in NG+ I can see summon signs galore, non stop and also be summoned into my mates NG++ world despite him being >1mil souls higher than me.

Soul Memory ranges continue to work in "tiers", but since characters will have more souls by natural progression the pools are wider.
