Dark Souls

You also want to progress down, get to blacksmith Andre and go past the Titanite Demon into Darkroot Gardens and Darkroot Basin. You'll need to put in some grinding there too, and if you're playing online be sure to watch out for invasions and ganks down there. Very popular area for that. You'll also come across the Moonlight Butterfly.

Some NPC's give the ability to summon them as well as other players. That is what those hieroglyphics are. And you'll need to be human in order to see them. The game doesn't do a good job at explaining that. But at least this game doesn't decrease your health every time you die, or make the environment more challenging for every death :p

Spoiler: show

In The Undead Burg, there is a church/chapel where that Black Knight was, go out the side door and you'll see three hollows (two sword and one x-bow). Walk down some stairs and across the walk way. Proceed down the stairs there and you'll come across a bonfire, across the way you'll see Sens Fortress with it's huge locked gate and you'll find Siegmeyer the Onion Bro. If you go further down from the bonfire, you'll find Andre the Blacksmith, that is the one way into Darkroot Gardens. Just run past the Titanite Demon if he's giving you a hard time.

Anyone can invade your game at any given time, matching is also done by Soul Level (or Soul Memory if memory serves). Their job then is to kill you and you them. Red heiroglyphics means you want to fight people, white means co-op and yellow/gold means SunBro! Praise it! Become incandescent!

Unless its n+? I play now and then still. Lost 80 000 souls

So good to see guys still playing DS1.

My game was recently patched over to Steam instead of GFWL so my character has been deleted.

All that farming and gear upgrades gone and I was on NG+++

ah that is cool, will you ever get better gear ? am i correct is saying the gear scales with your level ? as some weapons have increased stats from what i first thought they had unless i am comparing it to a older version i may of deleted

Think he only drops a Titanite Chunk/Slab

haha yeah man but i will give it a go again for a while..

Can you tell me if there is a permanent way to keep lightning on my poleaxe/arm ? and why wont it let me do it to the dragon sword ( i am talking about the item that put it on for a couple minutes )

Gold Pine Resin (and other sorts) are temporary weapon buffs, they will run for a short while. If you want a permanent solution you'll have to upgrade your weapon with Titanite, can go as far as +10 <
