Dark Souls

to be perfectly honest, Dark Souls was never the prettiest of games. i don't just mean the aesthetics, but i mean graphically it was never top of the class. but it made up for this with exquisite fluidity (speaking from console experience).

I am happy if they boost the gfx, but i hope that it will not be at the expense of the gameplay/controls

Did you play using DSFix?

I found Dark Souls to look stunning once the frame rate was unlocked and I bumped it up to 1080p

Ah that explains it.

Us guys on PC had a fix for unlocking the resolution and locking the fps from 30 to 60

lucky PC elitist :P hehe. I only got my PC sorted out recently. Even so, i prefer to play action and FPS games on console. PC is for RTS and other mousy stuff in general

Ah I see.

Well I use an Xbox controller on pc for Dark Souls anyway.

So many pretties.

100000 Souls... gone... all gone...

Why did I think I can just pick up and play and think I can do great? :(

this is EXACTLY why i am terrified to start playing this game again. Its not a game you can ignore for months and then just come back to it and hit the ground running. It demands your full attention and focus from the start. I know that I will suffer if I try to play it now, as I have forgotten the basic controls, as well as the nuances and intricacies

Gaping Dragon defeated! :D

Made up the 100 000 souls I lost, but could have had 200 000 :(

Even on the 2nd playthrough, he seems like the easiest to kill?

-------

Its a good thing I focused on Endurance and Defense. I'm full out Havel's Armour + Shield (+5), and blocking a hit from a boss this size doesn't even take that much stamina or health.

------

Although I should not rejoice so quickly, Blight Town is up next -_-

You mean easiest to kill of all the bosses? On my NG+ I killed Taurus demon in two hits and took out the Gargoyles in 3 seconds (that's not an exaggeration).

I haven't gotten to Gaping Dragon on my NG+ yet, but I have a feeling my strength build warrior is a little OP.

Yeah, I expected a bit more on NG+. I mean, playing from scratch the game is HARD. But at this point you've built up your char pretty good, but the enemies/bosses' stats have double, so technically with your char stats, the bosses shoudl still be shit hard to deal with.

Like with the Taurus Demon on NG+, I blocked all his moves without even taking any damage.

Haha why block when you can two hand a greatsword and kill him in two hits. :p

I have said this a million times and got nothing but flamed for it but Dark Souls is an easy game: If you pay attention to your enemies, learn from your mistakes and do not try and rush playing the game. NG+ is only difficult if you forget everything about the game you finished. Also a lot of people get a bit of a god complex after the first play through and start to make stupid mistakes. Other than that it should be easy.

Added bonus for those that have put many many hours into Dark Souls:

A lesson learnt early on, Your Shield is your best friend :D

Agreed, Dark Souls IS easy :)

The most deadly enemy in this game is our over confidence!

That said, its still frustrating as hell.

Nice music video BTW!

It's not as hard as people say it is, but I wouldn't call it easy, not by the standards that currently define videogame difficulty. It's certainly not a game for the impatient.

I actually think Demons Souls is harder, but only in the fact that the regular enemies are harder. The bosses in Demon's Souls are a lot easier than Dark Souls.

Especially when it's the Greatshield of Artorias. :D
