That pretty much sums up why I went with the console version. Because fuck Origin.

Shows you in-game Waco. So far no Origin fuck ups. Still, it's so plain and boring I have no idea why it even exists.

I've been seeing nothing but complaints about origin... Any thoughts on the game so far? :D

The game is good so far single player still has that scary atmosphere but nothing like ds1. Read more when james review goes up :p

About 4 hours in myself now, and LOVING it! While it's not exactly as scary as the first (two) DS, the creepy atmosphere is still there and it still has its moments where you will nearly have a heart attack. SPOILER (kind of): It's seems this time around they try to get the adrenaline pumping by overwhelming you with enemies in enclosed areas; I must admit, it does result in some pretty tense fights, but it's get predictable after a while./END OF SPOILER

Really looking forward to giving the co-op a go once I finish the singleplayer.

My only gripe with the game so far is the rather shit autosave feature. Twice now I've had to redo a part of the game because the game says it's saving, I quit, and when I get back I have to replay a whole section of the game. I want the old save system back. :(

@Wlad, I was watching a friend play this this weekend and he was raging his ass off at the sheer amount of enemies the game throws at you. I'm not sure exactly how far in he was, but I suspect it was pretty close to the end, but at some points the game will through 15-20 necromorphs at him at once on Norma difficulty. And not easy necromorphs like the Pack either, but a mixture of necromorphs such as stalkers, spitters, normal necros etc.

The game itself looks very fun, but I think some parts of it, especially towards the later part of the game, are geared more towards co-op than solo play. The sheer amount of necromorphs is just so high that I can't imagine anyone being able to play through it on the higher difficulties.

I think it has to do with what guns you have if you say its later on then I would imagine he would have some nice upgrades by then and you got to use your stasis or you will get over run.

I had to fight of about 10 necro while james was busy sorting out a puzzle died 2 times but pulled out my shotgun and james knew what to do so he was done faster and could help out with the last remaining ones.

Yeah I've also had my moments of extreme rage where it seems the game just won't stop throwing necromorphs at me and I keep dying over and over again. I start panicking when there is like 5 or 6 necromorphs on screen simultaneously and then I can't aim for shit and keep dying. :p

DS2 threw wave after wave at you when you got to the end chapters, so this is nothing new.
