True, voice chat would have made it easier, they can keep voice chat out just let me pick who i play with. Keep the randoms feature for those who dont have friends (:P) but if I want to help a friend out I dont want to run the risk that some other person could just jump in.

Also release it globally at the same time.
 
So I put a new HDD into my PS3 this week and for some reason the restore "feature" didn't want to work properly and I lost all my game data, patches, DLC, PSN games, etc., but I still had my savegames. While this sucks real bag, I can redownload everything eventually so I haven't really "lost" anything - or so I thought. Turns out, I lost my Demon's Souls savegame. I can't believe this bullshit, I've lost something like 300 hours worth of gameplay. I could live with losing all my DLC, PSN games, etc., but my fucking Demon's Souls savegames? Why the hell is all my other savegames still there, but not these ones? I had some really awesome weapons that took me a LONG damn time to get. I love this game and everything, but I really don't know if I want to start everything from the beginning again.

Hmmm did you use the Backup or Data Transfer Utility? Because the Backup Utility restores everything even copy protected saves.

Ouch dude, I can't even imagine how kak that feels. That is the last game in the world you want to loose saves for. Hope you come right!

Edit: Which reminds me, I have lost all my DS saves :(

But I wasn't that far so not the end of the world I guess. Doubt I will start it again though.

Yeah I did use the Backup Utility, but every time it gets to a 100% there is an error, I did this twice. I read up on the net and apparently the only way to get it to finish 100% is to delete all your game data (which is what I wanted to keep) before doing the backup. The data is probably still on my old 80GB drive, but there is no way in hell I'm going through that whole process again.

Bad luck I guess, hope this doesn't happen to me when I upgrade my HDD this week.
 
Just got myself a copy of the Black Phantom Edition. I guess if I have to start over I might as well start with a different version of the game.

Managed to take out Phalanx yesterday on my first try. Tried Tower Guard and died. Total deaths so far must be around 20 lol, I almost threw my controller at the screen. :P

Think I'll try my blue stone later. Any comments on the latency when being invaded/invading and summoning/becoming blue phantoms?
 
Had some great fun invading in 4-2 ^-^

I invaded the same guy 5 times, 4 of which he had a blue phantom helping him out. Killed them both but he always leaves so I can't get my body back. Couldn't take defeat like a man =( Yay for Meat Cleaver! And.. and *spits*Poison Cloud!
 
Started my second playthrough. Beat the Phalanx, Red Dragon, Old King Doran and the Tower Knight in one go. Boja. Next in line... Flamelurker!!

Also on NG+. Had a bit of a tough time getting through area 4, but Flamelurker and Tower Knight were easy as before.

I should give Old King Doran a go, gots me Northern Regalia now, wanna try it out. Just need 2 more magic points to wield it properly. Already have PBCT. :D
 
So I got the game in December, and I must say awesome game, can't believe I missed it by almost a year.
I think I made a huge mistake. I used Phalanx's soul to gain the extra souls. Right after I've done that, I read that you should not use a demon's soul no matter what? Do you guys think I should start from scratch or can I carry on? Is the soul necessary later on?
 
After being stuck for age and giving the game a little break I beat both the Flamelurker boss and the Dragon God. Soul level 55 - 60 at the moment.
