Devs/Pubs are killing PC gaming

Precisely, that's money to your isp and telskelm. nothing goes to the developer or publisher of said game you are downloading, yes you are spending money, but in the wrong place for the wrong reasons
 
look this can go on forever, let's face it. the pc will not ever be the main platform ever again. it's just too easy for things to go wrong for devs and publishers. we need to build a damn bridge and get over it and be happy we atleast still get games on the pc. and if you pirate i hope you die a slow, painful and very agonizing death
 
This entire thread is the resualt of someone throwing their toys coz they can only install the game on their system 15 times. Who installs a game 15 times on the same system. And why does that "botch up" the game?
 
i don't get it either. i'm over the whole drm thing, it's gonna happen wether we like it or not. as for mucking up the game. i don't see how

Get used to it.
Get a clue on the bad games and don't buy / pirate them!

Keep your PC.
Keep playing the (fewer) good games that come out on your PC.

stop being such a ****ing idiot. get multiple platforms pc included and be happy.

telling someone to switch from their chosen platform is stupid and just as bad as elitism.

honestly. if you can go with multiple solutions, don't freaking limit yourself because you are too close minded to see the obvious benefits in that. expensive? yes worth it? you better know it

But if you dont have money for full multiplats then doing what Nihilist is perfect. There will always be titles coming out of PC that is just wont go on other platforms, STALKER for example. I had Bioshock 1 on Xbox and Ill have 2 on Xbox.

No you aren't since the pirate paid no licensing fee to the content provider to get you that cotent while the tv company has paid the legitimate provide a licensing fee.;)

I have installed some of my black isle games over 15 times over the years.:) The 15 limit is ok as a start, I still believe providing a revoke tool so the end user can manage it himself is a better option.

Hmm, I think you missed what I was trying to convey. Basically I was saying get multiple platforms.
I get the feeling that most people here that are 'bashing' consoles have spent veeeery little time with them.

As far as the money situation goes, well that is always a bugger. The situation however is that there IS a greater shift towards console gaming, and well you need to make a plan at some point to try get one. Otherwise get used to the status quo.

I have never been a platform elitist and I never will be. I just buy what I can and what makes the most sense at the time.

e.g. I have always had a PC and used to upgrade fanatically, then I saw the PS2 and fell in love with its titles. So I downgraded how I upgraded my PC and bought one.

Now I have 2 platforms. I then later saw the GameCube going cheap and bought one.

3 platforms. Then the Xbox 360 came out and I saved for it.

And so on.

Again I mention I DO feel for the PC platform, it sucks, seriously. This is not all Doom and Gloom, since there are certainly quality titles on console if you actually look, along with a slew of cruddy ones. And this controller excuse does not work with me.

Gah! I am sick of this (these) topics. All we ever do is repeat ourselves ad nauseum and no one ever really changes anyone's mind.

ok granted i was harsh in my reply. it just get's me so worked up. i'm lucky enough to own a proper pc and 2 consoles which gives me as a gamer so much choice, seeing people whine the whole time just get's me so worked up. yes not everyone will be lucky enough own 2 systems let alone 3. but honestly if you can it's the way to go. really you are spoiled for choice.

You the person who has lost all grip on reality (Do you share your world with unicorns and rainbows?) and shows absolute paranoia that the casual gamer is going to stab you in your sleep for your "hardcore" games you just made my day.
