Devs/Pubs are killing PC gaming

So what happens after you reach your 15 install limit? If I remember correctly my copy of Bioshock only had a three install limit. I remember the furor that caused back then and it got increased to 5 or something. I really think you are over reacting on this issue. 15 installs should be plenty sufficient and a quick email to Securom can circumvent that problem, should it even become a problem. There are much bigger issues plaguing PC gaming than a silly 15 install limit. Come on guys, our dissatisfaction won't get taken seriously if we throw a tantrum every time we think we are being done in.

With you on this 1 mate, 15 times in plenty, i can't think of 1 game i have installed and reinstalled more than 10 times during my extensive gaming career;)

If you payed for the game you should be able to install it as many times as you want:rolleyes:.

In a perfect world that would be true and all our games would use a simple cd check like Dragon Age, but this not being a perfect world we sometimes have to make concessions. I just think that there too much of a big deal made about such a small problem. Will you stop playing games for good if they all had DRM?

I have I format once a month and play all my games a few times in a year.

Format once a month...there is no reason to format a pc once a month unless you keep getting worms and spyware from all the dodgy bdsm sites you visit.

Why do you format so often? With good system maintenance you can go for years without formating. You can't seriously expect publishers to factor in compulsive formatters can you? :P

I just hope something like this doesn't evolve at some point to having to be online all the time to play a singleplayer game (which I am sure it will).

I can agree with the sentiment but, as annoying as it may be on some occasions I too have come to realize - Either you just try deal with it, or stop gaming. I cannot do the latter. Ever.

FPS's started on PC. These dev/pubs seem to have forgotten that.

I think Blizzard are the last hardcore pc developers

we should enlist him into compulsive formatters anonymous :D

Thats why I will get this on console. Sure as fuck not letting them tell me how many times I can and can't install and uninstall a game that I paid for.

I thought piracy was the reason for the devs wanting more games on console.

its one of the reasons, the other reason is that consoles are so much easier to dev for and the people who play console (mostly casual gamers) will buy anything that looks shiny, its a literal dumbing down or gamers
