Why wouldn't they be the same thing? They aren't going to have some separate beta hardware, at least that is the way I see it but anyway but I'm more interested in is why aren't they doing any testing at all in EU, so they are just going to turn the servers on day 1 and expect everything to be fine?
 
Don't think you understand how it works mate. Go read around a bit. But I have to ask why always so negative about everything?
 
Why is voicing concern being negative? If you're completely happy with everything then cool good for you, I've got no problems with that, so let me ask my questions. :cool:
 
:) Of course you welcome to do that mate, but maybe its just me but it feels like when you post something its negative most of the time.

I've just read up allot of this and I know why they are doing this Open Test etc. I'm not saying I'm happy that I can't get in, but I understand why and realise that doing this atm can only be a good thing for the 15th:)
Even the login screen thanks the Open Testers and states that the heavy amount of ppl have shown them new issues that they are working on atm and that they have limited the amount of ppl for now. Also all the hardware and servers they will be using on release are not up atm for the Beta.
 
Looks like I'm lucky tonight, both me and my girlfriend were able to get in and we already completed one play-through.
 
Got in, seems playable even with 380ms ping. Interestingly the story in the beta sounds VERY similar to Diablo 1, almost like a recap, with leoric and the skeleton king.
 
it looks like everyone has been to get in and play beta, every time i try to connect it gives me a error saying connection interrupted error 3003

It usually says that if you try to connect to EU server, make sure you are trying to connect to US.

The open beta has begun and we've been extremely successful in that we've already managed to break a few things. We've capped the open beta concurrency until we can resolve some stability and service issues, and until it's resolved you will likely see an Error 37 when attempting to log in.

Error 12 - This is an error we're still investigating but you can workaround it by simply changing your Battle.net account password to force your account information to refresh. Once changed you can change it back.
Error 3003 - Click Options, under Account change your region to The Americas. The open beta is only being held on US hardware.

If that doesn't work try a completely wrong account name and wrong password, error, and then again try your correct Battle.net account email and password.

Gray login button - You need to use your Battle.net email address as your account name. Your BattleTag is a nickname, not your account name.
Updating Setup Files - If you're stuck on "Updating Setup Files" try these troubleshooting steps.

I couldn't get in last night but will be trying today. I need to convince some mates to buy the game, open BETA is a good opportunity :rolleyes:
 
The Beta is AWESOME!!! Glad that I pre-ordered my CE :)
Can't wait for the 15th of May. I am taking leave for 2 weeks just to play the game..
 
Guys what am I missing here....when the page open where you enter your battlenet username and password the LOGIN button is greyed out so I cannot click it.... :(
 
I really enjoyed the beta. Was pretty easy though, so when a friend and myself played coop we agreed to play without weapons. Made it quite a bit tougher.

I can't wait for this game!

username is an email address it won't 'lit up' unless you have something with a @ in it. AFAIK.
