Diablo 3 Beta - Feedback :}

I don't really understand the hardcore thing, just seems like an aneurysm inducing rage spasm waiting to happen.

I can imagine losing your lvl 60 char with all your leet gear causing said rage spasm together with a bit of...

But I would like to try it out though.

I tried it, and will do again when released. It forces you to play a bit more carefully, that's all. Remember, all HC changes is that death is permanent. Drop rates stay exactly the same. Mob difficulty stays exactly the same. Loot prices stay exactly the same.

It's not for everyone, but worth trying out, IMO.

Im most curious about what happens to your HC Chars Equipment when he/she dies.

All gone ;)

You have a HC stash separate from the SC, but I've only had one HC character at a time, so I don't know if the stash is account wide as with SC; I'd assume it is, though.

IIRC they said you stay is shared with chars of the same type so you have a regular stash and a hardcore stash.

FYI the beta was open for all to play for a few minutes earlier this evening, quite a few thousand people got on for a few minutes then it crashed. Blizzard been trying to fix the whole thing for a while now

If you are there to just for the tour then I'd suggest you don't go HC/PermaDeath.

Trust me it really adds to the game. Last game I played with perma death was hellgate londen, those who grouped with, you knew was in to really play over just joining for a piss or two. Trust me... you will feel the heart beat as you go along ;).

Ye your approach to the game is very different when you play HC.
And I can imagine ppl raging when they get buttf$#$@%# by something like this:

I dont get it, the dude in the video didn't die and played like an idiot. Had he waged right in there and used his abilities a bit more freely the mobs would have been down in a matter of moment. Not once did his health drop below half.

I think the dude in the video is intentionally hanging around so he can see what the mob with that ability does, hence why he didn't kill it straight away. SnowWar was probably alluding to the fact that the water dude locks you into a small area with that temp wall so you could very easily get overwhelmed if you don't know it's coming.

That vid is just showing us an ability close to the start of the game with an over geared toon for the content.

Imagine getting stuck in there with other melee mobs while trying to escape other range nukers, having already used your blink or something similar. All this while being on your HC toon in one of the harder difficulties...

And I did say "by something like this" i.e. similar things that will definitely be in the game.

Don't act so dumb :p They assure us there will be enough opportunities to die in D3 :)

Oh I am sure of it...

Sounds like we need get a team of players ready to take on higher difficulties.

I played through the BETA with the Monk and must say past lvl 6 I really fell inlove with it. The Speed at which the Monk is able to fell groups of enemies is just awesome. I didn't think there would be competition for the Barbarian as my first Char but I now find myself conflicted.

Last night for the first time did I have noticeable LAG while playing. Ranging from general slow down to my hits taking several seconds to register.

/inserts told you so! Monk is pure win! :D

I agree Monk feels allot of fun. Its right up there, quick, very involved and in the middle of the action

Yeah, I think that's why I enjoy both the Monk and the Barbarian so much. While the Monks healing ability is cool I still miss Leap when not playing barbarian.

Got Jar of souls the first time last night, that was awesome. Can't wait to see what other of these random events feature in the full game. The other day I came across the corpse of the caravan driver from D2. The little bits of lore u encounter also make the world more engaging than D2.
