You do know that the AH was tied into the loot table? so if there were more than a certain amount of weapons X in the AH, they would drop less in game. Not to mention that people were accusing blizzard of listing and selling perfectly rolled items for 200 Euro + per item.
Blizzard made a killing from the AH but it also killed the game. I made my fair share of cash from the rmah but I honestly wish the game never had it.
 
What would be the quickest way to powerlevel a buddy, im thinking he creates a T6 game, and we just run rifts? Or is there a quicker way?

We did lvl1 to lvl70 in under an hour over the weekend.
Let him create a T6 game, invite you and then run bounties, they give a ton of exp and gold.
Rifts do end up giving slightly more but it's not efficient, some rifts are half empty ect.

I totally agree with you. The AH did nothing for the game and basically turned it into a p2w game.

I've spent more than 60mil on a single legendary with rerolls just to get it from "ok" to basically amazing(BiS).
That and as previously mentioned gem crafting.

I've generally just did it with T6 70 and did Act 1 bounties while the low level just stands near the waypoints as you get map wide XP and then just TP in when entering new zones.
And sometimes you get lucky and hit 70 while completing the bounty and then getting a guaranteed 70 legendary from the cache and it might even be RoRG. Think this took 30~mins the last time I did it, solo.
 
First 10 levels get your friend to join you and do Act 1 bounties on your highest Torment level you can muster. They can just stay in town and will get the experience.

Then get them to create a T6 game and do bounties or rifts. Bounties is slightly easier as event give HUGE amounts of XP :)

After u left 2 days ago we decided ag lets just try doing gobs, so we run down from tower damned 1 (1 gob nothing), get to tower 2 no gob, core of arreat , gob bam portal lol

I had such great luck with my Crusader gear wise but man I'm struggling to gear my monk in seasons, I've only really dropped a furnace which is nice but that's it lol.
 
Joker you are not the only who is struggling for gear - you can see how crappy my gear rolls have been so far.

Caboose I was lucky last night it just took an hour of farming to get the goblin.
