Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

How many of you guys are using the Auction House to buy weapons? I really don't want to, because it kills a lot of the enjoyment of finding good items, but at the same time I've got a bad feeling that because the AH exists, I'm going to find a lot of crap in-game. Joined some public games as well to find everyone there had much better items than I did. I hate the AH.

Ive bought a few crafting pages and 2 or 3 gems. No weapons or items. Ive sold a few items though. I say avoid it, getting the stuff dropped is way better.
 
Unless you want to farm Acts in nightmare and hell over and over again you are more or less forced to at least buy weapons if you want to progress at a steady pace. If you have a big enough group of friends playing at your level then you can probably get away with it if you trade among yourselves.
 
That is what our group does. We either make each other the gear or we give them the drops. Sharing has made all 4 of us rather well geared so far.

Yep and then there's my luck with yellow drops that if it wasn't mostly Demon Hunter crap would help a lot too. :D
 
Jirre Isengard, I think you should loan me your gear for an evening. Maybe I will get us something else.

Oh wait no, I was the one with the most DH crap at one point. I should point out on here, this weekend might see less of me playing during the day - F1 Monaco race . . .

Its cool we got our Witch doctors to level and man I am stacking magic and gold find on him and OMG its just awesome seeing all those yellow items drop from almost everywhere.

But I am so sorry to tell you the rare crossbow I have IS MINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (until I find a better weapon then you can have it)

At least I realised I can use the bows and crossbows as well :P But ya there is way too many DH drops - class specific as well
