Diablo III review and opinion roundup

Nice and stable, smooth, no problems really.

Aren't you lucky. I got in about 4 hours of gameplay total, in the first 3 days. Now, because we have such shitty internet in S.A. I'm constantly suffering lag spikes and disconnects :(

Still a great game tho...even tho, yesterday some chop finished it on Inferno.

Same, with the exception of yesterdays downtime I haven't had any issues. Stable, lag free and AWESOME! I have spent about 40 hours split between 2 characters so far.

The game feels incomplete for something that has been in development for 10 years.

Also Diablo looks like a chick.

I dont see why that is an issue for you?

So someone has been playing pretty much non-stop since release and finished it on inferno, so what?

How so?

I haven't even gotten to Nightmare yet, was hoping that Inferno would be a proper challenge, that Blizzard promised. (Months to complete Inferno etc) Seems its not the case. Its taken the anticipation Inferno and semi-ruined it for me :(

Play a barbarian, it will take you months on inferno to finish. :D

So because Inferno was beaten by someone, who isn't you, you dont think its challenging? Did you see his entire run? Or the character & equipment he used? Do he loot all his equipment or did he simply buy of the AH? And because this someone has done it you feel its ruined for you, even though you have no idea exactly what waiting for you other than rumours and hear say? O.o .....Ok then.

Difficulty is subjective, I didn't think Demon's Souls was a particularly hard game when played right, most of my friend disagree.

Im happy to simply enjoy the ample amounts of "Holy fucking shit did you see that!" moments I share with my friend while co-oping and dispatching hoards of enemies.

Lol! I am playing Barb but also Wizard. My Barb is 25 and my Wizard 29, the Wizard's dps is double the Barbs. O.o

Which server you been playing on? EU / US /Asia

So far by diablo3 experience has been quite meh, 500-600 ms on EU with Vodacom HSUPA.
Only when I started my character did I get 300ms for a while, the difference is huge when it comes to gameplay.

Well there's your problem. He was probably playing on a landline. 3g, especially SA 3G is bound to cause lag issues.

The kotaku review is pretty cool.

I have internet promo 5 from 8ta. D3 runs smooth as a baby's bum on EU. Latency hangs around 400ms. It actually plays better than D2 using HSPA+. That said, us 3g users aren't really allowed to complain about latency. 3g is not meant for gaming.

Latency aside, the game is absolutely superb. I'm playing it through with my girlfriend and having the time of my life. Many of the negative comments in the reviews seem to me like they come from someone rushing through the game. I have been playing an hour or two each evening and sometimes more since launch and I am only lvl 23/Act 2.

Also, those complaining about the guy who beat inferno. Go read up a bit about how he did it. He ghosted his way through inferno and died more than 100 times trying to beat Diablo, which he did exploiting the game mechanics of a wizard such that the max damage a hit could do to him was 35%. He didn't clear inferno by any means. Unlike WoW, Diablo is not about the end bosses. They are by no means the hardest to beat. Clear your way through some inferno elite mobs and I'll be far more impressed.

GLHF.

HAHA, someone is a chop for playing a game and finishing it. Also, Im using S.A. internet and I haven't had any issues (Excluding Blizzard downtime)

It really is a great game, lots of fun, but to be perfectly honest I am not convinced yet. I think it is a little sad that there is no more skill and stats point system, plus how is the PvP gonna work out? Is it gonna come down to a case of who has the better items? I think the strength of the game largely is reliant on the real money economy it generates. If people can make a sustainable income from playing D3 then the game will last a long time :D
