Actually, my post was about the quality of production coming out of South Africa. I'm not a fan of Die Antwoord's songs or their style either, but at least they're not putting out videos shot on a cellphone camera for R10.50 that make South Africa look like we've only just discovered electricity.

No kidding? Of course it's fake. It it were true I would seriously be worried about these people.

Regardless, the production value of their music might be good, but in my personal opinion I think it's shit and have never liked their music, since Die Antwoord's conception. In fact, the first song I ever heard from DA was "Doos Dronk". I thought it was the biggest load of horseshit ever. :D I don't understand how any cultured, well educated South African can like their music, but then again, each person has their own taste regardless of how difficult it is for others to understand.

yeah not a fan either, at all. I have nothing against profanity, to me it's just words. But when you through around the "partytjie woord" as much as they do, it just becomes unnecessary. I don't go for the shock factor thing, it actually becomes annoying after a while.

Did anyone read the lyrics posted beneath the vid? They weren't particularly clever either.
 
I would love to be a fly on the wall on a normal day with these guys, really want to know what they are like or if they are showing their true colours, cause that video is messed up. Still one of the few artists I manage to watch the whole music before getting bored :D
 
The video is really well done and has some nice beats too but it's not gonna do anything other than scare foreigners away from SA.
 
Its not Art. They say art is meant to have no purpose other than itself. A music video is used as tool to promote the music, the band and boost sales so a music video can't be art really.

Its also not artistic either since all I see is someone insulting Gaga and dragging South Africa through the mud, similar to what Malema does.
 
I don't like the whole zef thing. In fact it annoys me so much but I like Die Antwoord's music. Yolande's voice is just pure honey.

They used to be so great when they were MaxNormal TV. I wish they continued with that but alas Die Antwoord shocked them into fame.
