Dota 2

AFAIK atm they are more or less just bringing over all the old stuff with just minor tweaks here and there, although the latest patch did change quite a lot of stuff in terms of balance. So after they have all the old heroes in that is when they will look deeper into tweaking and adding to the game.

Doesn't take much for him to snowball out of control, unlike HoN there isn't a moment where his magic resistance drops. He's hard to kill even without his blink, only a few kills and he quickly becomes unstoppable.
 
That's not QUITE true but they did nerf him in the recent patch.

The only major "bleh!" thing about Dota 2 so far, to me, is that Kunkka is broken.

The splash/stun spell from Kunkka looks like it will affect a greater area than it actually does. The actual area in which the stun works is VERY small and deceptive. His ship (ulti) is also VERY slow. In most cases you can literally see it coming and STILL have enough time to get out of the way. That needs to be fixed because as it stand, Kunkka is useless.

I do find that Tidehunter is INSANE in Dota 2. He's by far my best Hero to play with.

Think the numbers are the same with Kunkka, however I know for certain the camera isn't. You have 40% more view in DOTA2, that could be Kunka's problem
 
I hate Invoker in Dota 2! The fact that the hotkeys keep changing! Its frustrating! And yes I'm using legacy hotkeys from War3 Dota! I'm sure with a bit of practice I'll get better though...

Why use the legacy hotkeys, when you can adapt to the new ergonomic keys in less than an hour. I barely ever played Invoker in DotA, but I got use to him extremely fast in DOTA2.
It's so much easier when the GUI corresponds to the abilities.

Legacy is called legacy for a reason, it's outdated and useless. By people would put themselves at an artificial disadvantage on purpose it above me.
 
been trying to "win" a dota 2 key for past 2 months now! failing epically, seems like evryone has a dam beta key besides me!
 
a friend of mine gave me a key and i played dota for a bit, but i must say im dissapointed. for a "NEW" game the only difference i see is graphics. sure this is only a beta and there may be some additions to the final version, but right now i dont see it as worth the money seeing as i already have warcraft 3 and the original dota. ive heard that dota 2 will go f2p, but i somewhat doubt it.
