Dota 2

I see a new trend now, Russian and Romanian players joining our servers, intentionally feeding or quitting and abandoning.
Oh and if anyone wants to trade I have some items I want to get rid of (International stuff)

I am game needs some smeevil treats :p and Tl13 goodies like player cards, have none...
 
I must admit, Valve's free to play model is pretty solid when it comes to Dota 2 (I haven't played any of their other games:o)

Yeah, I've spent far more cash on this game than I should of, but its because I enjoy it and don't feel i have to pay to play. Some other "free" games are setup in a way that its actually just a demo disguised as a free game. It straight away makes me not trust them, i just feel I will give them cash to play the game, only to find out i need to pay more. Then you in the situation where "well I've already spent some cash", you get roped in, so you carry on spending cash. Age of Empires online comes to mind.

Yep, this game is a fully functional free game, no catch or fine print. But then everything around it, from custom sets and couriers, to live tournaments just gives you so much incentive to pay, while this stuff doesn't affect gameplay whatsoever:D

Yeah that kind of f2p is really annoying. Even if you can unlock everything by playing they usually make you grind so hard for it that by the time you have enough currency you don't want it anymore.

In Dota 2 though, I've only spent money on tournament tickets and the compendium which is more than worth it, I'm not very fussed about the cosmetic sets even though some of them look amazing.

I like my dota 2 sets, spend way to much on it already...
 
Anyone else got the Abaddon mace? That thing is useless and considered a common, whereas Kunnka's blade goes for 10$...f**k me sideways, but this is quite unfair.

Also, that prize pool :eek:, 8th position gets $40k, most of the high profile tournaments don't even give that to their 1st place winners...
