Best hero to start with i would say:


Dark Seer, no need to worry about last hitting if concept is new to you. Can concentrate on feeling of game and not tunnel vision last hitting + has escape


Lich not too bad, dont need much items to have impact.

Ursa - can forest


Stay away from ( micro units or very squishy non escape heros or one hit / miss):

Meepo, Chen , Rubick, Shadowfiend, Crystal Maiden , Lone Druid , Pudge ( if you cant hook your are useless ) , Mirana, Clock and Invoker



Key items:

Learn how to use armlet

Learn how to use courier

BKB

Blink Dagger / Force Staff

Which basically will be a big update? Not like its hard to get a key.

Hopefully its sparks some extra interest, been struggling to find a game on the South African servers lately, and the EU server are terrible. Filled with Russians who only take carries. Had a game a couple nights ago where it was single draft, I only had a choice of 3 carries, 3 of the other player also took carries. One took earthshaker, but no one bought a courier. Fun times. To rub salt in the wound, i only heard russian from my team mates.

Ag I've lost count how many times I've had to buy a courier as a carry just to stand a better chance of winning.

Only last night did we have a bit of trouble finding servers but generally speaking me and the guys i play with normally take 3 - 5 minutes to find games on sa servers

There is still some irritating bugs i.e.: The shop bug every now and then..... And after a patch no practice games give you your xp and GPM. also when you quit a Practice game and re enter it starts with just bots.....

Fair enough, but still for my 1st experience of the game it ran smooth with no issues and there is constant work happening on the game. coupled with the huge growing community, this game is gonna be here to stay

Yes its pretty polished. After the latest patch tho my game crashes when we load and I have to re-enter the game....

Back to over 50% win rate its weird how you loose 4-5 in a row and then win 4-5 in a row or vice versa.

Also had fun games last night with Spirit Breaker and Silencer
