Dragon Age *possible spoilers*

Two more reviews this time online so we can read the whole thing ourselves. First xbox 360 review as well.

I totally disagree with them that fallout 3 is better but we will find out on 6 November. Also that's probably subjective and depends what type of rpg you like.

Hmmmmm, interesting. I don't really know how you can compare an isometric fantasy RPG with an FPS post-apocalyptic semi-RPG, to be honest. Also, 10/10 for F3? It was a good game, but definitely far from perfect. In fact, I actually think Borderlands is a better game than F3. Anyway, I'll most certainly reserve my judgement on DAO until next week thursday/friday. Only another 6 days to play Borderlands before it arrives! *eek*

Fallout 3 was boring as heck. Please don't tell me this is even worse! I'd cry!

But then again, I've never liked a Bethesda RPG. But I've loved every single Bioware RPG.

Bethesda are great at doing RPG's, wasn't a fan of F3 but I know for a fact I will enjoy DA

Depends what type of rpg. Bethesda are great at exploration/sandbox rpg's. They are not good at story driven rpg's. They cater for a different market compared to BW.

Team Hungary won the wardens quest contest. Each member gets $12500. Bioware community was second.

Holy smoke and if me and you, lycan, tsar where there we would have been first ;)

But that is great prize money wonder what they going to spend it on.

I agree with Green Orb that F3 was not the greatest game ever. I thought it was good but it needed a little more in-game direction for the player. I understand the whole sandbox concept, but I felt that in F3 I kept drifting off the main quest line, which is great until you find yourself deep in an area you are just not levelled enough to get through and basically have retreat with your tail between your legs.

Well the main Story is so short if you follow it from beginning to end without doing any exploring. Thats why it was never really story driven because what the story is the same as in the first 2. There are some sick creeps that no matter what level you are going to have a hard time.

Comparing F3 to DAO is a waste of time.

What excites me the most about Dragon age is that it really hard. I found Neverwinter nights 1 and 2 too easy.

Watching some of the teams getting their asses kicked at the warden's quest event confirmed that its pretty hard. They played on normal and some of them really struggled. a Lot of those players are bg 2 veterans so it wasn't like they weren't used to this type of game.

For the eliminators they used the xbox 360 and put the difficult on hard due to the fact that hard on the xbox 360 = normal on the pc.

I find that funny about the xbos. Rpgs are ment for pc nerds like us lol.:p

Hard is good. :)

I loved how hard BG2 was to the point where I had to think for a while of how best to prepare for and tackle the next room. The problem with BG2 was that it was tough as nails from the get go, and just got harder from there.

Most console gamers are fine but some do get on my nerves. For the last two weeks you had guys coming on the dao forums complaining pause is an unmanly gaming feature :D. I would like to see someone try and beat any of the infinity games on hard or normal without pausing. From I saw dao will be the same.

LOL @ pausing is not manly.

Well if you did not have to pause then you must be super fast in assigning spells and who attacking who. That would be hectic and they would probably die lots of times.

If Bioware decided to take pause out to suit the console gamers I wouldn't even have looked at Dragon Age again. I like the depth of combat where it's necessary to pause in order to get your strategy sorted out. I'm also looking forward to the Gambit err - Strategy Page system in order to help streamline the battles somewhat.
