All I can say is thank the oranges I didn't pay for this ...... wow, what a meh title. It really is as if this game came through a wormhole from the 90's
seriously people. if you expected the next big shooter and are disappointed by this you've only yourselves to blame
no one else.
You have to put yourself in a mindset of this game being released around 1997-1999. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We’re finding that the average gamer who has not played before is taking about 15 to 16 hours to finish the campaign.
Plassie we have had this discussion before tho. I play the HRP for Duke 3d often, and I love it. I just feel that there isn't that special "something" that makes it what it is. Perhaps it could be because I am bored of the same old kind of stuff. Run up to turret, shoot the things until something happens, I dunno it felt too stock standard to me.
I thought the graphics were great and gameplay were smooth, but I dunno, it was just.... meh!
As a sidenote, I felt the best enemies were the Alien Captains, by far they were the hardest and only enemies that made you think about what you did. The part in the Lady Killer casino with them was awesome though, really enjoyed that.
Oh, and EDIT: The game felt like 1 chapter. Where was the 15 hours Randy Pitchford promised?
Taken from here
I finished the game in 7 hours... including playing all the side quests and little easter egg games and what not. I think for me that was the thing that pissed me off the most...
Oh wait: EDIT x2: my steam profile says I have played it for 5 hours :/

You don't realy count as "the average gamer".
Did they use the doom3 engine for this game?![]()
Hahaha classic!
No its the Unreal 3 engine. They switched between like 4 engines or something during development
Actually it's a heavily modified Unreal 2 engine*.
I noticed BulletStorm is selling for R299 already at a few places, isn't it only a few months old? It's finally good to see game prices dropping when sales aren't great.
