Dungeons (Can you say Dungeon Keeper?)

edit: been reading some of the previews and it doesn't look like you will be able to spank those naughty minions anymore or nip because you don't have enough gold to pay your horned reaper, but it still looks damn fun! Can't wait for this

looks sooo sweet. signed up for beta. was a huge Dungeon Keeper fan. Man I miss Bullfrog. Who are they these days?

Multiplayer could have been insane though. Dungeon keeper vs lords. (and obviously dungeon keeper vs ZOMBIE lords)

They were assimilated by EA, resistance was futile. :(
Molyneux founded lionhead later on, but thats hardly bullfrog.
 
Hope its multiplayer, remember slaving away for like 8 hours straight one map on DK1 against my mates

Nope. It won't be released with multiplayer but depending on how well the game sells they will probably include it in an update later on. I'm actually pretty sure they'll implement MP not long after release, but that's just a hunch.

Was just about to ask you what you think, but I'm also heavily second guessing this game now. I just can't get myself to be amped for this. :(

Well, I'm not counting it out entirely, it's just no longer a priority. I'm budgeting for too many games I can't live without this year to spend money on a game that, to be perfectly honest, I'd only get because it's wearing a Dungeon Keeper hoodie. If it were Dungeon Keeper 3, I'd get it without a second thought but it's not and so far it just seems weak.

Yup, I'm with you on that one. Oh well..Maybe when it's on special I'll get it :D

For now I'll keep dreaming that they will make a DK 3.
 
I was expecting reviews to be in the low 60s. Therefore I'm pleasantly surprised with PCG's 77%. Hooked Gamers gave it 83%, Strategy Informer also 77%.

Anything but weak.

I never trust the review scores. As unbiased as the reviews can be, it's not always a true judge.

War for the Overworld (WftO) is an unofficial sequel to the Dungeon Keeper series of games. It is being developed by fans and will use the Unreal Development Kit.
