Yeah the desk is pretty large. I gotta admit though even though I built it, it is one seriously beastly machine

I can explain
I know you ran the test at Extreme HD which is completely maxed out.
To put this into perspective a 7870 Ghz edition at stock clocks score around 1300 at the same settings.

If you clocked your cards you would be hitting 3500+ which is where the future proofing comes in.

That is a damn good score at stock clocks bud On a side note that still with drivers from last year Novemeber. So there is still performance hiding in there

In fact I would be willing to bet, if I came through one day and helped you out with clocking (clocking the 6xx cards can be tough) we could get you close to 4000.

I've tried but with everything needing downloads and updates and stuff it's taking a while to get all my games up and running again.

Why is that?

Because when they test your cpu. If your gpu helps it, isnt a true representation of your cpu.

If my understanding if physx is correct

Cpu offloads physics calculations onto the gpu am i correct?
