Yeah its not as difficult as the first, I think Monolith decided to give the harder enemies a break and expand by investing in more creative areas of gameplay, and explore the scare-factor more.
I must say the part where you are in the school where all the lockers are flapping and ghosts are all over did scare me big time.

I think what makes the game's story work so well is that you want to find out what happens next the whole time, while forcing yourself through the scary parts...
